^^^^^This!!!!!!!!! My dh is still trying to figure out when to take the boys for a few days this summer. While they're camping in a tent I'll be camping either at the pool or on my deck:D:D:D
I hope your boys love it. dd loved camping until about 10, then came hair styles, hair dryers and the girlie stuff. She was over the animals and sleeping outside. She did make a concession and took her boys at the age of 8 and 10, then thought it was okay, but video games are more popular!

Yesterday day hubby and I had a day of fun. We spent the morning at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. We had a lot of fun looking at all the blooming plants. We went specifically to see the tulips but also walked a couple of trails as well. The arboretum plants over 32,000 tulip bulbs in the fall, so we were really looking forward to the spring bloom. We were not disappointed. Here are a few pictures of the beauty we saw.

I wish I were there to see those beautiful flowers. That looks so like spring....especially the great part of spring!

Newhart did a long interview this week with John Williams of WGN Radio-Chicago. His mind is still strong. It was fun to listen to him be so happy about the Chicago Cubs and speak of his time when he went to college downtown fondly. Wonder if that all played into his one show being set in Chicago.

He will be in Chicago to be the keynote speaker for
The Salvation Army. Good guy. :inlove:

I believe this is the link to the interview with Newhart.

I'm glad he is still around. Living in Chicago so many years ago, must have been fun.

Kinda excited. I'm a big kid and a lover of backpacks maybe cause they didn't use them in school when I was a kid. If I need something to tote stuff I'll take a backpack over a purse anyday.

So JanSport is releasing a line of Disney Backpacks
June 1st. Woot! Will you still be in Disney then @betty rose
That's exciting to hear. I will have to find them. I hope I can get a picture or two. Thanks for the heads up!

Tomorrow is garbage day. We will see how everyone faired. I think it was the one early Friday morning that split and hit lower WI an central IL Had we had that prior to what we had all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday we would have been goners. Let alone the one that rose up Eastern IL and Indiana, that overall saved us. Our river is still out of its banks but has also gone down. Grass is long and squishy along with ponds still sitting in the middle of the grass.

Think the only ones that are happy is the birds, fowl and the trees and we had a big ole tree fall on the riverwalk that was sitting in a 'new' lake. Came up by the roots, had to be a 100 year old tree.
That's sad. I'm sorry you are having such a tough time. I'm still hoping for a better 2018 for all of us. :angelic::angelic::angelic:

The first car/truck I ever drove was that cousins '63 International Harvester pickup with "three on the tree", that I've posted about before, on my grandparents (pops folks) farm. I was 13.
I took my drivers test at 16 in my folks '77 Buick LeSabre. Passed the first time. My regular transportation after that was the Camper Special with the cabover camper on it, until a few months later when I bought my first car from money I had in savings, plus money I had had been earning and saving from my first job at a local go-kart track. :)
The fastest I've ever driven/riden in a car is about 135 mph. That was in my '85 Mustang GT. It was on the main highway I still drive to and from work everyday.
It was in the early afternoon. Another Mustang was just getting on the highway on the ramp just to the right, and in front of me (it was an '84 GT). They kicked it down and started haulin'-a down the highway, I kicked my 5-speed down 2 notches and went off in hot pursuit...
The road was actually eerily clear of other vehicles. :cyclops:
The tested top speed (by Road&Track magazine) of my car was 135 mph.
As we were blazing down the highway (there was a good stretch back then that was devoid of traffic lights) I was gaining on the other car (that stretch of road heading north is on a gradual downhill slope most of the way) and I had topped the car out...not going any faster.
I caught up to the other car as it was exiting the highway. I looked over, and there was a chick behind the wheel smiling at me...!!!!! :joyfull: :)

Yes, I it was stooooopid, and any number of tragic things could have resulted from it.
It even left me jittery. Have never done anything like it since, but, what a rush... :cyclops:
Those were the early 20's for my sister. She loved to drive fast, and I loved feeling the speed. Today, we take our time and smell the roses! ;)

Some more tulips, it was wonderful to see so many different varieties too. The theme for the year was orange, yellow and white. I can't remember why those colors, but I guess they try to do a different theme every year. There were some beds that had pinks and purples though.

I can't pick a favorite. They are all so pretty. That brightened my day.

Ha! That genuinely made me laugh. Just being in the know of how to actually be able to reach Disney reservations on the days offers are released, setting an alarm to book FP+ and ADRs is a challenge to seasoned veterans.

Now do you pay the upcharge of $25 to ride an internal bus between parks so you don't waste touring time going through security areas.
Wow, I missed the bus charge....that is too much!
