I may have to rethink my guilt about going to the movies sans kids. Today one of James music groups is going to see GOTG2 after school. I haven't even seen BATB yet:(:bawling::arghh::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead: When I get the Blu Ray I'm going to watch it by myself:angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::angelic::oops:
I was surprised about some younger school groups going to see it because some of the language but it's nothing they haven't heard or said. It was hilarious though.

I have no clue, as I have never researched it. But, if someone can show me how renting points to stay at a DVC property is less expensive than staying in a value family suite, I'll take it...! :)
I don't think that is possible. We stayed at POR also when it was just 5 of us. It got cramped real quick once the youngest at the time started toddling. We then did 2bdrm villas for once a year trips. When we learned that we could go twice as much by downgrading, we decided to forgo the "luxury" and just do the Cabins or AoA.

how much is a suite at AMS? and AOA?

I think it was around 350-400 USD a day to rent points on Old Key west (divided into 4 people). 2 big rooms, kitchen, 2 full bathrooms. (Technically we could have fit 4 more people there!) on New Year's.

AKL was cheaper but it was completely booked out. (usually the cheaper rooms, around 200 USD a day on low season via renting points)
It was 180 USD to stay in COR, single rooms (studio vs normal hotel room).

Unsure about the recent price hikes.

But then, DVC point rental removes the daily cleaning.
Renting or staying in a villa is fine if you can split the cost with another family or group of people, but when it is just one family the price becomes ludicrous.

There was frost on our grass this morning. I am hoping that our newly planted veggies survive and the teeny peaches. :( The only reason we planted the veggies 2 weeks ago is because we are supposed to be free from frost by now. Plus the dear old accuweather 2 month in advance forecast did not have any lows below 40 2 weeks ago. I should have known better. Pray for warmth.

Hello everyone, Is it 2018 yet? I'm done with 2017. We got back from the mountains, today....we had hail storms, daughter's car that she got after it being fixed, broke down in a severe thunderstorm. We had to wait 3 hours for the tow truck to come and get the undrivable car. So many accidents, all over. Daughter couldn't get the boy's from school so she called hubby to go and pick them up, he was really late, he got caught in a hailstorm with baseball size hail. He held his arm over his head to protect it, but several of those hailstones, hit his arm, and he think's it's broken. He was able to get the kids, late. His car sustained major damage, the front windshield is broken, and the car is full of dents. More of the same kind of weather tomorrow. We had a nice time in the mountains, but it seems the fun doesn't last long. I promised pictures, I'm pooped and will send tomorrow, unless we lose power, again. I hope everyone had a much better Monday than we did.:brb::brb::brb::brb::eek::eek::eek:
Ohh my! Hope today is better!

Sympathy like. My cousins in Denver posted pictures of the hail in their yard. My cousin was stuck in her car...she had been grocery shopping and had to wait for the hail to pass to get back in the house with the groceries. She said she didn't see any damage to their property other than plants, so that is good. I'm so sorry to hear about DD's car!! What happened to it if it was just fixed?

Have you ever done the tent thing at Fort Wilderness? Are tents provided or do you have to bring your own? I looked at that before I found the European deal last summer and the cabins were more expensive than the Values, so I didn't want to do that, but couldn't tell if the tent was provided for that area. It was certainly cheaper, but there was no way for us to pack a tent and sleeping bags and all that in the luggage.

We think it was something with the radiator, looks like the deer that hit her had pushed the grill into the radiator, and it broke when the mechanics pulled the grill away. Probably was missed until it was driven for a while. She finally got a loaner car, most of the rental cars are damaged and not able to drive. Someone had to go to Colorado Springs to find another car.

Oh my, sympathy like. I was watching the early AM news here, and they showed some footage from Colorado, of those horrific hail storms. Busted windshields all over, and yes, pictures don't lie--those were literally baseball sized hail that poured down!! YIKES!!
Really loud and scary. This is not that uncommon in Colorado. We had major hail damage a couple years ago, and had to have our roof replaced. We had several branches taken down by the wind and hail. Not big hail, just a lot of it.

My neighbor's kid goes to a high school where all the work is done on an iPad. Homework, everything. Ridiculous.
The oldest grandson does that too. When moving , he had to go to his dad's to use his computer while things we're being set up at home, and getting connected to WiFi. Silly, I guess we don't need, books, pencils and papers anymore.
