Yep, it still blows my mind.
What were they thinkin'?! Just give the ball to Lynch and call it two Championships in a row...

I was dumbfounded too but I have to give kudos to the young'n that caught the ball, he wanted it, really wanted it.
Drive counts. Lynches head was somewhere else the week before the game. In retrospect sure but I also understand the coaches knowing his focus was elsewhere.

As of 4:30 p.m. today, my area has an additional 13 inches and it's still snowing outside! I've been out twice today, shovelling; it's good exercise and lord knows I need that!! It's really pretty outside--a winter wonderland.

Yep here too. Walt kept getting stuck. At one point I would see his head and the tip of his tail. A maze was cut today. I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Give the Seahawks who started fighting a break. That is not representative of who they are. They got caught up in the emotion and I think we have to question how we would behave in the EXACT situation. Congratulations to the Patriots.

I have sympathy for their loss. I was rooting for them. I was a competitive athlete as were my children. Focus is so important and focus was lost on self absorption last week. He had his fun. It took its toll. Professional athletes fighting like that is just not cool. Teams loose in every sport but rarely do they act out like that when they blow a championship. It is just poor sportsmanship.

Although I didn't see the game, I am glad that you took some comfort in the fact that your team must have still played an excellent game; and it probably just came down to a few points between both the teams. My guess is that they were both evenly matched in talent. :)

It was a great game. One of the best I've seen in years. Half time, not so much.

Schools are canceled again in my town, we only got about 8 inches plus ice today. I'm debating canceling an interview tomorrow in the morning near Boston. Roads will be all ice, we'll see in the morning.

If they cancel school for everything nowadays, how did people cope before?

So much was canceled here today. The ice before all the snow wasn't good.

Baltimore County schools went two hours late.

Neither of my colleges changed their schedules. By the time I was out the door, everything had turned to a messy slush. It was around 40 degrees when I left. And then it dropped to 28 and had frozen over by the time I left campus.

Speaking of ice, I have now had two days of ice skating.

Wednesday I didn't want to let go of the wall. Because my left ankle doesn't like moving properly, getting it to work was like pulling teeth. So I went home and practiced the movement for the stride at home. And I got a helmet out of the garage (so today I had on a Hilton Head sweatshirt that's a kid's size and the helmet was a kid's 8+ helmet that somehow still fits me:rolleyes:)

Today I managed to get the stride down and was near the wall, but not dependent on it. And somehow I fell and landed flat on my back (thank goodness for that helmet!) and now am very sore.

I'm pretty sure with this class they pass you as long as you show up and try.

Ah, nope.

They told us in ice skating that kids learn how to ice skate more easily than adults because they are not as afraid to fall.

I was the rare kid. I HATED falling. So I went roller skating a few times, but hated falling so much that I wouldn't do it for very long. Even now when ice skating I think the reason I stick close to the wall is in case I feel like I'm about to fall. I've only fallen once during the class...flat on my back. They let me take five after that fall.

Although I have no idea why I was so afraid of falling. My bff and I used to jump off every ledge we could find. I told my mother recently that we used to jump off the half walls in the basement and were just quiet so she wouldn't know. She about went pale and said she didn't want to know what else we were doing!:hilarious:

We had snow days back in my day as student too. When I was in college they delayed the new semester by a full week. My DD University canceled school for 3 weeks once because of massive power outages. Teachers use to be more local and that isn't the case either. There are far more busing districts these days and if the buses can't navigate the roads you can't put those students out on corners awaiting buses for long durations as the district is liable for safety at that point. Pretty much busing dictates our decision to close the district or not. We were closed.

Yeah, we Moms cringe when we hear these things from our children. I hated falling too. I skated from young. My only advice is to pick a spot in the distance and focus on it. Don't take your eyes off of it and skate to it with focus only on it. It tends to keep you straight and level.

Last I heard only one ball was found to be significantly under the limit. The others were "just a tick below", which means they probably inflated them to the exact minimum and they lost a bit of air by themselves due to temperature changes or other conditions.

Of course, this is still ongoing, so who are either of we to call out or defend the team?

I think what makes it more convenient for the patriots is.. they demolished the other team with pure runs.
when you have better grip on the balls you have to worry less about fumbles.
