The Chit Chat Chit Chat Thread

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I read (4:00 p.m. report from People Magazine online) that she is still fighting for her life (on a ventilator), with her family at her side.
Yeah, I guess some of the lesser celebrity media sites jumped the gun.
As much as some dislike TMZ, they tend to get it right, first. When TMZ wasn't corroborating the Newsbuzz post, I started to think they had gotten carried away.

That is about the only way you are different than my DD. She was certainly a 9am class person. Almost always done by 2pm. I'm up, DH snoring. DD been asleep for several hours already.
I'm not much of a morning person, but it's also the difference between being a resident at a large state school and being a commuter at a small private school. If I have the option to take a later class as opposed to an earlier class, I usually do, but I try not to do anything before 9:30 just because of traffic. An 8 am class means I have to be up at 6 am to leave at 7 am. If I leave any later than 7:15, I will be late. A 9 am class means I have to get up at 7 AM to leave at 8 am. A 9:30 class means I get up at 8 to leave at 9. Makes a huge difference. If I lived on campus, earlier classes might not be as big a deal, but having to fight with traffic makes them not worth it.

And then there's going to a smaller school. Sometimes, I don't have choices. All of my classes today each had one section. My chorus class tomorrow had one section. My management class had two sections, and it's a major requirement for many people. Once you start getting into 300 level classes (which 12 of my 15 credits this semester are 300 level) there become fewer and fewer options. The only classes with lots of options are the 100 and 200 level classes that a lot of people have to take. A small private school is a better environment for me, but part of the trade off is that I get fewer options.

Oh, this is so funny! I never heard of Wiarton Willie before, so I Google'd it. Never realized that Canada has its own weather=predicting groundhog!!! :hilarious: (I thought only we were silly enough to have one!) Hey, @Goofyernmost , what do you think of that? Canada has their own groundhog, too!!!
I don't know why that would surprise you. They have never had an original thought up there since beavers became an endangered species. Besides when their groundhog runs back in it means 6 more weeks of winter, if it doesn't it means 42 more days. The only reason they come out at all is to get some beer, eh!

I lost all my respect for the Patriots when deflate gate happened.
I thought I might reserve my take on the respect thing until I know what happened or can prove that something actually team related/connected can be proven. I am still a strong believer in our system of justice.

11 of the 12 balls were deflated. And this is the same team that spied on another team
I still prefer not to be judge and jury in this case. I have no idea what happened and if anybody else does, they are not talking. Even if they did do it, no one has come forward to explain how much it impacted the game. I'm thinking very little. Should it have happened? Absolutely not, but there are thousands of people involved with that team. It could have been someone directly part of the team control or it could be someone acting on their own or it even could have been a faulty air pressure gauge. When someone accuses someone of cheating, they better well have a carp load of evidence and not just opinion to get me to agree.

There isn't an NFL team in existence since the beginning of professional sports that doesn't spy on the other team. This isn't Sesame Street.

Last I heard only one ball was found to be significantly under the limit. The others were "just a tick below", which means they probably inflated them to the exact minimum and they lost a bit of air by themselves due to temperature changes or other conditions.

Of course, this is still ongoing, so who are either of we to call out or defend the team?

Safety first, and if some of those people were inconvenienced because one of the pools was closed, then too bad. Does the Rec Center have any sort of email notification that they could send out immediately, if the center was closing due to storm conditions? That might be helpful in the future if they could implement something like that. Dealing with the public is always a challenge; all of my jobs have involved dealing with the public, some more than others.

Anyone who is has signed themselves up for email notifications receives the, the website stated Blizzard hours and it was also on the website.

KOBAH(or COBA) is an archeological site, one of the biggest "cities" before their downfall and conquering by the neighbouring city-state of Tulum and Chichen-Itza.
tallest pyramid in the area.
you can see a gigantic area of forests when you get on top.

Xplor is a cave, exploring, water and canopy park (themed on underwater caves and rivers)
Xel-Ha is a gorgeous natural park that has a mini zoo and a big fresh water river that meets the sea.
Its the most gorgeous place in Yucatan imho.
Xcaret is your typical themepark based on the Mexican culture. (very americanized im afraid, but still good).
It has museum parts, ruins, maya, aztec stuff.. lots of restaurants, and a "night spectacular" that tells the story of the Mexican culture.
