It was a snow day here. All schools and buses cancelled.

Son #2 went to work though. Hope it was a shop day and not a road day. Would be nice if he answered my text.

As of 4:30 p.m. today, my area has an additional 13 inches and it's still snowing outside! I've been out twice today, shovelling; it's good exercise and lord knows I need that!! It's really pretty outside--a winter wonderland.

Me too! Having your coffee maker not work is second to worst, the worst being losing the Super Bowl.:cry::cry:

I'm sorry to hear that your team lost, as I know you are a really big fan of football. I feel kind of guilty that the team in my area won, as I have zero interest in football. I wish you lived out here, so that you'd be happy again, though. Maybe next season, your team will win for you. I mean, if they made it to the big game to begin with, they must have been very talented, right? So, that's a "win" in itself, I should think! :)

Oy. And then worse, they forgot it was football and started fighting as if it was Hockey.
Give the Seahawks who started fighting a break. That is not representative of who they are. They got caught up in the emotion and I think we have to question how we would behave in the EXACT situation. Congratulations to the Patriots.

The Patriots are an awesome team and I was and am proud of the Seahawks.

Schools are canceled again in my town, we only got about 8 inches plus ice today. I'm debating canceling an interview tomorrow in the morning near Boston. Roads will be all ice, we'll see in the morning.

If they cancel school for everything nowadays, how did people cope before?

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Oh, this is so funny! I never heard of Wiarton Willie before, so I Google'd it. Never realized that Canada has its own weather=predicting groundhog!!! :hilarious: (I thought only we were silly enough to have one!) Hey, @Goofyernmost , what do you think of that? Canada has their own groundhog, too!!!
Two of them, actually.
The one out east is Shubenacadie Sam - but he doesn't count, as he predicted 6 more weeks of winter. Of course, he is in Nova Scotia, where winter runs from October until June.
