Yah, it's been there for a while now. I think part of the reason to introduce the threads was an attempt to keep N&R slightly more sane. Whenever someone would give their political opinions up there, things got crazy really fast. So my hunch is that the mods finally gave in--and provided a space for political discussions, to keep politics out of other threads and derailing them.

I've checked the political threads periodically, but I really joined here for the Disney discussions and escape.

I just can't believe I never saw the thread. Or that it stuck

Sympathy like again. On the weather radar there is snow north and west of us. We will stay in the 40's so just rain here today thank goodness. Stay warm and safe.

Everyone have a safe and great weekend!! Hubby off today and have errands and such to do. Then off to celebrate his birthday early. It is on Tuesday but he has to work. He will be 60! When did that happen?

It did spin a very long time for me too, was loading at a turtle pace...eventually they came up for me.

It came up for me right away on my phone.

My truck is still in the garage, I pulled in this morning and a couple hours later I couldn't get to it. Maybe tomorrow??? I hope. Our river rose a foot and a half near the bridge in a little more than an hour. The ducks are having a blast, genuinely playing, dive bombing into the new lakes. The Robins are back and they are play'n.

I can get about 20 feet off the road onto the River walk and then it becomes a river with a current. Fish swimming in the grass and on the sidewalks, as are the ducks.

A new river complete with bushes and trees.

And my Gator got covered in gunk

Supposed to rain through the night. Hopefully the mega storms that we had last night and today will slip East and not a direct hit tonight. Pretty Please.

But, your gator reminded me that I have a desktop-sized version that is still in an unpacked box from when I was laid off from the firm back in '09. Guess it's way past time for me to unpacked that box.

As far as the water bed goes, I had one for about 6 months, once. No problems sleeping on it, but, what a PITA when it came to moving. Would never have one again.
