Yes, so sad.
Don't remember the original airing of any of The Dic k Van Dyk e Show episodes, but, have enjoyed them over the years in reruns. :)
The Mary Tyler Moore Show was another one of those we rarely missed.
Mary, Lou, Ted, Murray, Rhoda, Sue Ann (Betty White, who was actually originally cast to play Blanche in Golden Girls, but was switched out at the last minute because of the similar character she played on MTM  ;)), Phyllis, Georgette. What a cast, and what a hoot...!!!!! :joyfull:
I vividly remember the final scene of the final episode...! :)

I loved how Ed Asner was able to transform the character on his own show:)

Have you been to Disney Springs since they somewhat finished (almost anyhow)??? If nothing else it is pretty especially at night and the free concerts are quite good.

Speaking of free concerts, don't know how it lines up for you but Universal is also doing free Mardi Gras concerts. There are a few I wouldn't mind listening to.

My dh and I were hoping to be able to pull something off in spring but it's not going to happen and he may even wind up working an overnight shift if they start it up. He loves it when work does that me not so much. I really don't need to keep even stranger hours:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: Although I did like when he was on it when we were leaving for Florida because we left near to midnight, the boys slept almost into NC and we hit Kennedy around check in time at the hotel:joyfull:

In other news.. mother thinking in getting grandmah in to an hospice or somehow find a caretaker that isnt too expensive.
You must know why. Well, my grandmah fell again.

She(my grandmother) decided she had enough of being in bed and sneakily slid out of her bed (she cant even stand, how the hell she got the great idea to try to walk towards the bathroom??!!!!). Also she weights a ton. I cant lift all of her by myself. We had to move her first to a chair from the floor, then to her bed. A whopping 30 minute struggle.
My mother had enough and gave her a good old daughter monologue.. as its the 3rd time she fell because she ignored my mother's and doctor's recommendations :/
Now imagine if I wasn't there. And both the times she fell down.. it was at night.
My mother and I are barely getting sleep because of this. I fear it might affect my mother's health (she already looks like she hadn't sleep in weeks)
I'm sorry to hear that. I think your mother is right about needing outside help at this point. I'm wondering do they have assisted living where you are? I know by me they have facilities that have different levels of assistance depending on the level of care needed. Anything from just house keeping and a visiting nurse to full time care. Prayers and pixie dust.

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Nothing is useful on ice. That is any professional drivers nightmare. I don't like either, but, I would rather have 2 feet of snow then an 8th inch of ice. Vermont was always pretty good about getting out and putting stuff on the road, during and after ice storms, but, no vehicle should ever venture out on ice. There really is no control no matter how good a driver one is. It helps, but, it doesn't guarantee success. In fact, it will probably end up in a mess.
One of these is perfect for ice

plus you don't care if you hit it ;)

I just read that. It doesn't even seem to come close to Victoria and Albert's fine dining.

If you are wealthy enough to spend $15,000 on a single meal I'm not thinking that is where you are heading.

OMG--that was my exact thought when I first read about this lunacy. People with that much money would go to a highly rated restaurant or exclusive private club for money like that. For example, I think about (hypothetically only here) someone like wealthy, Richard Branson--I doubt he'd ever consider $15,000 for dining at 21 Royal.

Yes, they were one of the best ensemble casts ever created for a TV show.

This had been one terrible week.

I had a phone interview and that same day, they sent up real interview. I went for that interview yesterday and they were like we really want more experience. Why did you call me in then.

Is it too late to change countries

Searching for a new job is (usually) the most obnoxious experience for most people. My heart goes out to you. Hang in there.

This is a turning point, not only for your grandmother's safety and health, but also for your mother's and yours. When someone reaches her age and has medical issues, it's time to leave her daily care to the medical professionals. Sorry to hear about the latest developments, Cesar.

And yet I've seen people posting on Twitter they want to go...and the ones I'm seeing are not the demographic that should be spending that on a meal.

Paging @Mr Ferret 88 What is a jumper? Is that something like a sweater or sweat shirt? I think something got lost in translation coming from your side of the pond. THNX

And I actually had the same question years ago of a fellow Disney Fan from Australia.
