Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Nothing is useful on ice. That is any professional drivers nightmare. I don't like either, but, I would rather have 2 feet of snow then an 8th inch of ice. Vermont was always pretty good about getting out and putting stuff on the road, during and after ice storms, but, no vehicle should ever venture out on ice. There really is no control no matter how good a driver one is. It helps, but, it doesn't guarantee success. In fact, it will probably end up in a mess.

I've driven with both studs and chains in Colorado. It does help but about equal to snow tires in a foot of snow.
I'd rather stay off the roads altogether 'cause I might not hit anything-doesn't mean some twit isn't going to hit me driving to quickly.

Seems he had a heart attack.

A Sageteer...he shall be sorely missed.
What a shame. I just hope it was instantaneous and he didn't have to suffer.
He will be definitively missed.
It feels really weird to see someone who you are used to see all the time (but kinda dont know personally) and suddenly.. poof.. gone. Leaving some sort of weird gap. :/

In other news.. mother thinking in getting grandmah in to an hospice or somehow find a caretaker that isnt too expensive.
You must know why. Well, my grandmah fell again.

She(my grandmother) decided she had enough of being in bed and sneakily slid out of her bed (she cant even stand, how the hell she got the great idea to try to walk towards the bathroom??!!!!). Also she weights a ton. I cant lift all of her by myself. We had to move her first to a chair from the floor, then to her bed. A whopping 30 minute struggle.
My mother had enough and gave her a good old daughter monologue.. as its the 3rd time she fell because she ignored my mother's and doctor's recommendations :/
Now imagine if I wasn't there. And both the times she fell down.. it was at night.
My mother and I are barely getting sleep because of this. I fear it might affect my mother's health (she already looks like she hadn't sleep in weeks)

If it's any consolation (and, it probably isn't ;)), it was 15 degrees cooler here today for a high of only 69. :cyclops:
Low tonight of 40, with a high tomorrow of 60, and an overnight low of 38. :cold:
Friday is 60, 44 overnight.
Much cooler than Tuesday's low of 53, high of 84.
And, all has been clear and sunny... :cautious:

;)
We're having some really weird weather it's 40 and going into the 50s today. I'll take what I can get at this point:cautious:
