Good morning @MinnieM123 do you have any fun plans for your day off?
Best plan ever! me either LOL edit not quite half day Monday, still have to feed the 2 that are home before I leaveYah--not going to work!!
So I was a little wrong in my post that TCM was sponsoring the showing of "Singin' In the Rain" due to Debbie Renyolds passing away. Apparently they have a whole series planned to show in theaters across the country this year, a big screen classic film festival of sorts. This just happened to be the first film they planned to show for the year. Here is a link to what they plan to show in theaters this year: https://www.cinemark.com/tcm There is going to be a showing of Casablanca, another of my favorite films later this year so I might have to plan on that, but that isn't until November.
Anyway, seeing "Singin' in the Rain" on the big screen was fabulous! It was the way it meant to be seen. I was so entranced by the end of it I was so sad it was over. Although the lady in the row behind me left to go to the bathroom right when the Singin' in the Rain number started, who in their right mind leaves during that! It is the highlight of the film! Anyway, it was a great time. It will be shown again in theaters on Wednesday night so if you want to go check the theaters in your area.
Oh and we had dinner at 5 Guys, excellent!

I forgot to share this picture yesterday. Kapono and I took a walk and I remember I have posted spring, summer and fall pictures of this field so I thought I would share a winter one. I'm sure @MinnieM123 will like this one the best because there is snow.

Woof! $20...!!!
The most I ever remember getting was a quarter.
And, I'm pretty sure the most we ever gave any of our kiddos was $1...
I think they're expecting a frittataGive yourself a little break--just hand them a box of cereal and milk, and they can make their own breakfast.
Hahaaa...!
I definitely remember those antenna days!
I also remember when dad surprised us one evening when he came home a little late from work with our first color TV...!!!!!
So glad y'all had an awesome night, and thanks for the info!
I've seen Casablanca more times than I've seen Singin' in the Rain, but they're both great flicks!
Another one of my favorites was on TCM this afternoon...Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Cary Grant and Myrna Loy...quite a bit of fun in that one...!

$80.00??? On what street corner did you get that procedure done? Or was that after insurance?Obviously, your Tooth Fairy and mine were cheapskates! And what's more frustrating is that when you're an adult and you have a tooth pulled out (failed root canal, etc.), you don't even get a quarter anymore!! Instead, you get a bill from the oral surgeon for $80!!
No power steering back then. You needed leverage!I'm shocked by the size of the steering wheel in his hands!!
NoRemember the first time you saw the NBC Peacock in full color??!!!!!!!!!!!!
