So I was a little wrong in my post that TCM was sponsoring the showing of "Singin' In the Rain" due to Debbie Renyolds passing away. Apparently they have a whole series planned to show in theaters across the country this year, a big screen classic film festival of sorts. This just happened to be the first film they planned to show for the year. Here is a link to what they plan to show in theaters this year: https://www.cinemark.com/tcm There is going to be a showing of Casablanca, another of my favorite films later this year so I might have to plan on that, but that isn't until November.

Anyway, seeing "Singin' in the Rain" on the big screen was fabulous! It was the way it meant to be seen. I was so entranced by the end of it I was so sad it was over. Although the lady in the row behind me left to go to the bathroom right when the Singin' in the Rain number started, who in their right mind leaves during that! It is the highlight of the film! Anyway, it was a great time. It will be shown again in theaters on Wednesday night so if you want to go check the theaters in your area.

Oh and we had dinner at 5 Guys, excellent!:)

Yes, hubby and her agreed to share the boys. She will go back home when he is out. They are taking turns with the apartment, so the boy's don't have to leave home. We decided to pay for this, I hope's they can work it out.

Since you are paying, if he is being a jerk to her at least you will have control then if he can be in that apartment or not. It will make it a little safer for her.

Both are at fault, with what happened. We don't want control, we just hope they have the space to work this out. We will not get involved unless they want us to. They will work this out, one way or the other. It's not that we don't care. We have decided to put this aside, so the kids can work it out.

I know nothing about home appliances/machines, so I asked Mr. Google about this, and the average lifespan (depending upon various factors) is 8 to 12 years for a water heater. (MOXOMUMD just had hers break recently.)

In the last place we lived in (3-family unit house), we lived on the first floor. One day, I saw steam coming from the crack in the basement door, that led to the kitchen. I opened the door and saw a lot of steam. Hubs went down to the basement and the water heater busted--water all over the basement floor. (Luckily, our landlord put in a call right away to his plumber, and it was replaced within a day.)
Been there, done that.

How do you feel about Hawaii after the Brady Bunch trip episodes...?! o_O

:D ;)

I'm actually okay with Hawaii despite those episodes. I didn't see those until after 6th grade, why is 6th grade important you might ask? In 6th grade a classmate of mine (her family owned what is now Jenny-O/Turkey Store) went to Hawaii and she came back with lots of stories. Our Social Studies teacher even played a video she brought back for us to watch from the Polynesian Cultural Center. That was also the year there was a big Beach Boys special shown from Waikiki beach at the Hilton. So it became my dream to go there, I dreamed about waking up to a view of Diamondhead. That dream came true in 2007, about 20 years later, it was to celebrate getting my master's degree. I cried the moment I stepped out on my balcony at the Hilton and had the view of Diamondhead. I think it also helped that nothing bad happened to that classmate of mine, it was all fun and sounded magical.

By the time I was a sophomore in high school and my World History teacher showed us the slides of his vacation to Egypt (in the early 1980's) and him crawling through tunnels in the pyramids my fear was already stuck. Although, I was fascinated with his pictures and part of me still wants to go there even though I'll be creeped out the whole time.

I've never been to either destination...definitely bucket list stuff, though. Egypt is definitely more fascinating to me than creepy.
So glad you had such a great time in Hawaii!
And, I keep forgetting, you're quite a few years younger than I, and only ever saw those Brady Bunch episodes in reruns...! :)
