@figmentfan423 I hope your power stays on or at least doesn't stay out for long as they repair the pole. Have the boys seen Rogue One yet? Maybe if the power goes out there could be a family field trip to the movie theater?
Thank you so far so good. Seeing we're getting another unexpected squall staying put is a good thing. Have I mentioned how much winter stinks?

Unfortunately, he still isn't feeling good. The doctor has told him to get lots of rest. And he still doesn't have much of an appetite. But once he gets better.......

Oh he did get a text from his sister and they asked their kids what happened to my clothes. Apparently the kids were playing hide and seek (in the dark) and they decided to hide behind the air mattress where my stuff of and it fell and they just put it back. Whatever, I think they could have had other an better hiding spots.

Be careful out there. Have fun leaving work early! When is your last day? Make sure you use up any sick or vacation days before leaving for your new job!

Yippee-- we got out at 2:00 today. GREAT way to spend my last day in that job. After New Year's, I start the new one. (No rest for the weary . . . LOL . . ;)) What I love about getting out early (the few times we do), is that you get to do other things with the time. I went to the bank and made a deposit--someone gave me cash for Christmas--I love people like that!! :hilarious:

Now, as for your dear hubs, I am sorry to hear that he is still not well yet. Probably, the stress of Christmas and all the extra people at church may have thrown him off. He will get well soon I'm sure; and most likely, it's just rest that he needs. Tell him he needs to build up his endurance for when he next joins the Dapper Dans -- those guys are awesome, and I know that your hubs is a favorite guest artist to their group!

We are pretty much duds on New Years Eve too. In the past we might do an early dinner, or go to a hockey game (it would be over by 9pm). But we like making snack foods and French dip sandwiches, playing games, and watching movies. We don't want to be out on the road with all the NYE drunks. Plus we often take our Christmas decorations down on New Years Day so it is the last time to enjoy our decorations for the season.

Last NYE was pretty awesome though since we spent it at Disneyland and California Adventure. I wish we were there this year, but with hubby feeling the way he is I guess it is good we didn't go this year.

French dip sandwiches? My hubs LOVES those . . . and they're really hard to find out here. Food goes through trends and French dips are not in vogue around here for the past many years.

Another reason we don't go out on N.Year's Eve is the increased number of intoxicated people behind the wheel--no thanks.
