It wasn't bad, we were at the store James needed to go to bright and early. he managed to get some really nice things for not too much money, which he needs to pay me back. then I made him do some mall walking:D then we hit the fabric store(thread was buy one get one free plus 20% off coupon:D) then I stopped and got some wine one the way home also on sale:hungry::inlove::hungry::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove::inlove:
I'm glad you had a great shopping and walking day. We went out this morning, before the snow starts, and got all our shopping finished. Tomorrow is card and wrapping day! Then, it will be on to cooking.....

I hope you have a Happy Birthday. We love having you as part of our group. People can disappoint at times.
Thanks...I did have a lovely day. I took a nap and a bath and then today we went to my in-laws' and ordered Chinese takeout...nothing major, just being with family. I'm not a real party animal. (40 is typically a big birthday over here...people have huge parties where they rent out halls and hire DJs and caterers...that's so not my thing) I don't need the attention or the facebook profile full of happy birthdays from every acquaintance I've ever had. But I DID want my brother to think of me and it hurts that he didn't. But I can't really complain...as you say, sometimes people disappoint, and as he's the only one who did, I guess I can't ask for a whole lot more.

That's very sweet, my boys do a few of the older neighbor's houses around here. They know my boys do it but they aren't allowed to charge but most of them do tip.
We tried to pay some teens to shovel. They weren't interested. I offered 50.00$, which I thought was reasonable. I got no takers. We don't have a long driveway. And I offered hot chocolate as well....Nope....We live in a crazy neighborhood. That was several years ago, when I had a back injury.

My boys would have done it for the hot chocolate. Do you have any businesses that do that type of thing. Some of our landscapers do that in the winter.

Wow....I'm sorry I don't live by you. I'd do it for free. Well....I would take the hot chocolate if you offered, but I wouldn't demand it. :p

Oh I'm sure the parties are fun for some people...but I'm more of an introvert. Those parties just tire me out, and they are SO expensive to throw. If I'm going to spend that much on something, it better be something I really enjoy to make it worth it, and for me, that's not a huge party. My brother would want the party. He loves being the center of attention and the life of the party. I'm the wallflower who sits in a corner and enjoys the music, and I might even dance, but please don't put me in the spotlight!
