I've never had the commercial version but did make my aunt's recipe once and from what I remember it was a bit heavy, sweet and a little sticky. We made it in an empty coffee can. Haven't done it since I was a kid.

Sounds a little disgusting. But if I had to choose between that or @donaldtoo or @Goofyernmost 's Brussel sprouts..canned bread would be the winner.

Good morning, not really but I'm trying to look on the bright side. It's cold, the weather people still have no clue where the rain snow line is going to be and I have to dodge holiday shoppers. I may stop at the fabric store and a wine shop. That may help:D

Good luck dodging the holiday shoppers. I thought about going out today, but I'm going to shop at Target.com instead!

Do you not have anyone who could help shovel you out? We don't get a lot of snow here, but when we do, I shovel my neighbor's walkway because she doesn't appear to have a shovel herself and her elderly mother walks over all the time and I'd hate for her to fall and break something. So I shovel and salt for her.

That is really sweet of you, I'm sure they both appreciate it.

Huh. That's what my data says, but it also says that on December 1, they were 4.08, which is a .04% increase.

Besides, and, correct me if I'm wrong, but a 0.7% difference in interest rates seems like a pretty significant difference. For a $300,000 30 year mortgage at 3.3% verses 4% is a difference in payments of about $1800 per year. For higher mortgages, the difference would be even higher.

Same thing with inflation. A rate of 2% is considered normal inflation and what the Federal Reserve targets, whereas 1.3% is low inflation, and the Fed night consider dropping interest rates.

That's just why I'm confused as to why you'd say a 0.7% drop is small. Maybe since you're the expert you could clarify?
I see that basic math is not your forte.

My brother either forgot or completely ignored my birthday. I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he'd just be late. But more than 24 hours, and nada. Not a card or a phone call or even a facebook message. It's like I'm a non-entity. I don't list my birthday on Facebook or anything because I don't need the attention from everyone and the people I WANT to remember know when it is, so I don't NEED to post it everywhere. My best friends all remembered, my husband and his family remembered...my brother is the only one who forgot/didn't care.

Doin' a little shoppin' this afternoon.
DWifey's office Christmas party is tonight, so she's lookin' for a new outfit, and I just bought 4 shirts at cost from my clothing store closer place.
Turns out he's having to close the store in the outdoor mall location because a restaurant wants the space. And, now the space he had to move to in the regular mall is going to be leased by someone who'll pay even more money, so he's havin' to move to yet another location in the mall.
The craziness of it all. Sheesh...!

Is this the place where he just moved because they increased the rent so much? Is it even legal? Aren't there restrictions on how much you can raise rent in a certain time period and laws about contracts so they can't just kick him out to bring in a higher paying tenant? It seems wildly unfair and unethical for a property owner to behave in this way.0
