Ha! Thank you for those early morning chuckles, here. I haven't thought about Erma Bombeck in years . . . and she was hysterical. My mother loved her humor, too!!
I just checked out a book from the Library that is a collection of many of her columns and general writings. She was so much more then just a comedy writer, because, she cut to the quick of human emotions and understood human nature like no one else I have ever read. The title is "Forever Erma". Many of the topics will make you laugh out loud and many others will indeed bring tears to your eyes and make you angry that someone with so much ability to reach out to us, was taken way to early. Sometimes one just has to wonder why that happens and we are left with those that hate and incite. Sorry, got to heavy there of a moment.

That is my favorite as well. I first saw it when I was in Vietnam on Christmas Eve. The base where I was stationed was party central that night. Drunks everywhere, fools filling their mouths with lighter fluid and then lighting it as they spit it out along with "good will to all men" fist fights on every corner. I went inside and turned on Armed Forces Television and they were showing "It's a wonderful life." Never was anything more appropriate than that movie that night.

That was a really fascinating story. I'm glad that you saw the movie that night, and could get away from the lunacy outside.

I think the heaviness was more than appropriate in this case. Reminds me a little of the expression, "Only the good die young." (Which is why I'm still around . . . :cautious: )

Spent some time there both in winter and summer, myself. Gorgeous country. Also spent a good amount of time in northeastern New Mexico. Not too shabby, either...! :)
I was in New Mexico last year . Did Albuquerque, Santa Fe and up. North western, central, and north eastern. Agree, pretty state. I think north eastern and central was the pretties for met. Many thinks to see in New Mexico, as all western states.

I guess as long it costs less than fireworks.. disney would do that :p

I was thinking more the decline of parades. So were down a parade at the MK, Studio's and AK. This year the parade will not be filmed at all at WDW for Christmas. Seeing a pattern in Florida.

Saw this week that the Electrical is now safely tucked in at Disneyland. In California they put the Floats in a big honk'n tent. Lessen learned from Florida?

Somebody needs to get to the fabric store. T shirt, matching ribbon, lace trim and a good quality iron on transfer. I have faith in you. Note to self stay away from store today

Thank you for the faith. :) That is why I make all my own window treatments. I can put out much better quality, better fabric, more choices etc. Somethings I find well worth my time to sew and craft-others not so much.

By the time I hit up the fabric store for trim, an Iron on Transfer, a Tshirt and ribbon it is likely cheaper to purchase it at Kohls. It is on sale. We shall see if I find it later.
