I hope you're better now. Sounds like they didn't follow proper ventilation procedures when they were painting. That's lousey.
There's so many things that they should have done

They should have planned it for the weekend.
They should have ventilated properly.
They should have notified students via email, the text notification system, and with a notice on the building.

They're normally very good about keeping their buildings in good condition, but this was a lapse. Thankfully I had the presense of mind to go to the Wellness Center, so there's already a report on file.

My first class got cancelled today, and I was already here when it got cancelled. So I thought, "Well, what if I go get my cap and gown?"

I now have my cap and gown, a souvenir tassel, and a frame for that very expensive piece of paper that I am about to receive. Because I feel like that very expensive piece of paper should be framed.

And a teddy bear with a cap and my school's name. And an Alum mug. And an alum cling for my car. :greedy:
You deserve all those items. You worked hard for that piece of paper.

I loathe ice. I'm stuck inside and hoping my power stays on and the roads are clear by the time the kids come home. Snow is horrible, awful, disgusting, painful, annoying, cold, wet, just about the worst thing on the planet but ice is is all that and much more dangerous. Rant over
Sympathy like. We get so much ice here. It's the one nice thing about having an SUV; no problem going over it for me as long as I'm careful. I get more worried about another car going out of control around me.

No ice here for now. One of the benefits of living in MD is it does tend to be a little warmer than up your way. We're in the 50s here today.

Good day to everyone. I got a late start. It's seems the police dept. went by our house, at 3:30 A.M, lights on and siren, as well. Woke me up. It took me a long time to go back to sleep. So, no good night's sleep for me. I think I'm jinxed at that hour!;) Have a great day. I'm running right now and hiding under a rock, it's going to be 80 here today with lots of sunshine. Did someone move my state to Florida?:D:rolleyes::joyfull:

I miss how 5 years ago, it rained in the afternoon. Now it only seems to rain on late afternoon and night.
What does this means? another 2 hour "sleep" cycle. I'm wrecked.
Nothing like a huge thunderstorm and rain at 4:00am.
Kicked me out of sleep instantly as I remembered that there was open windows.. so I ran to close them all (luckily water JUST had started to get in, so no real damage). Still, adrenaline boost + running = zero sleep x_x

So sorry. Paint sets my family off too. We try to paint during windows open weather. Surprised they don't do that during the summer months.
I'm so sensitive to fumes that if a painting project needs doing at home and the area can't be sealed, my parents do the project when I'm not home or they hire one of their friends to paint while we're away. They use to always do it themselves to save money, but now it's better to just have it done when we're away for some areas of the house. That's also the reason why the demolition for our kitchen was dome while we were away.

Certain cleaners bother me as well. We primarily use a cleaner that is made up of vinegar, alcohol, and water around the house. Gets the job done, doesn't bother me, and it's cheaper. For the bathroom, we never use different products; we know which ones will not bother me and always use those. One of the reasons we have a Dyson vacuum (other than that they are the greatest) is because they are certified asthma and allergy friendly.

Feel your pain.
I have a tendency of almost passing out when I get into damp enclosed areas with a lot of wood and humid dust.

As of now we'll be having both turkey and ham for Thanksgiving. The guys plan on filling the smoker again. Turkey, ham, baked beans(homemade),2 types mac and cheese(regular cheese and daiya), sausage, sweet and regular potatoes and corn, they'd better leave some room for my tofu bacon LOL. Guess who's going to spend the first 3 days of the week prepping and cooking:cautious: I have to make the bread for the stuffing, 3 types of cranberry sauce, pies etc. not to mention the above mentioned mac and cheese and beans. Yet some how they're going to take all the credit:rolleyes:

Yes, we have both ham and turkey, as well.
Pop will smoke some meat as well. Could be just ribs, and/or maybe some brisket , sausage, lamb or goat, or any combination thereof...!!! :hilarious:
And yes, there will be plenty of stuffing and other sides, as well as plenty of sweet treats...! :hungry:
Thanksgiving, indeed...! :)
