My Finance professor just tried to say that the US was made up of Australian immigrants.

I'll give her a pass because she's obviously an immigrant herself, but still.
Maybe he should stick to just teach finance. Because clearly his knowledge in history sucks. :P

Maybe she can do some of it on the plane too.
Probably. I guess she'll have to figure it out when she gets to the class. The bad thing is that the class starts the day we leave, so she'll have to get orriented that morning before losing her Wifi connection.

I figure if she needs to take the time for it, she's best off doing it the first day since we weren't planning on parks that day anyway. But if she does have to get it done a bit during the day, I can go in DCA and possibly hop in singles for RSR.

I just recently discovered that program. I love it. Tim Allen has matured so much as an actor. The comedy is sophisticated and really funny. I have especially enjoyed when they have incorporated the people from "Home Improvement" on it. So far I have seen Al, Randy and Jill and so many jokes around how familiar they look and an occasional Tool Time grunt or mention of more power. What a contrast though... three girls instead of three boys. They made him very quick witted, but, in this case is a little wiser and less accident prone. Thank goodness it is is rerun already so I haven't really missed the earlier episodes.
We like it too. Watch it every Friday night. My father is basically Mike Baxter in so many ways. And I've seen the look Mike gets on his face when he just does not understand the women in his life on my father's face. Multiple times. :joyfull:

@Gabe1 If you have Netflix, every episode minus the current season is on Netflix. I recommend starting with the second season. First was okay, second is better.

Yes, I couldn't believe what she just said about the US being made up of English and Australian immigrants. o_O But she is obviously Asian, has an accent, although not very thick, so I'll give her a pass. I wanna say she's Chinese based on the accent, but I could be wrong.

To be honest, she's not a great Finance professor either. She's FAR better than the last guy that they had teaching Finance, but she's still not that great. We had a take-home test, and no one got an A. Class average was a 78. To me, if you've made your test so hard that no one gets an A even with it being open-book, you need to put a curve on it. And she's refusing to do so. As one of my other professors said, "If you make the test too hard, ya gotta put a curve on the test as an apology for making it too hard." Sadly, another one of those professors who thinks she can do no wrong. The even sadder part is she's asked me for advice before since I'm a senior and was successful enough in Accounting to be a tutor, and she does not seem to be taking much of what we say to heart. She crams too much into the course instead of sticking to the basics, she doesn't plan enough time for questions, and in a small class like this, students WILL question to make sure they are getting it. And she has an accent, but she's also soft-spoken and sits down during the entire class, so paying attention to the lecture is nearly impossible. I have a French professor this semester, and even though his accent is thicker than hers is, I get far more out of his class than I do hers because he's more engaging and makes the class difficulty level more reasonable.

And I like a good ham but a nice filet or ribeye is better. :hungry:

Well, heck yea!!! :hungry:
Those are just not something we traditionally eat at any of our Holiday meals.
Now, on Christmas Eve when we all gather at my folks house for a huge feast (and then later attend midnight mass together), among other dishes, we completely gorge on several pounds of boiled jumbo peel-and-eat shrimp with c ocktail sauce...sooooo darn good...!!!!! :hungry: :)
