Sauerkraut is a new one to me too for Thanksgiving. I make green beans, grans stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, hawaiian rolls, jello, fresh corn, cranberry sauce, then various olives too. But my ThanksGiving dinner is always the day after Thanksgiving.
When we are in town which is most of the time we go out to a high end steakhouse for dinner. You order your main course meat and then there is about 25 side dishes you get to pick and choose between, as much as you wish. Always one of my favorite meals of the year. Frankly I am not a fan of Turkey.
This year will be different for us too without my Dad. Should be interesting.
Sympathy like in regards to your pop.
I like turkey plenty fine, but, I love a good ham more...!


I have to make the bread for the stuffing, 3 types of cranberry sauce, pies etc. not to mention the above mentioned mac and cheese and beans. Yet some how they're going to take all the credit
(Figgy, not to put yo in shock here, so you must sit down to read the rest of this. Hubs, my sister and I go out to eat on Thanksgiving--no cooking!
