I said something similar to my husband (although we don't have a long weekend), and I want to be in Disney all the time. Then I dealt with my 7th graders and I thought, "Hmmm, maybe being in Disney in a hurricane wouldn't be so bad." :confused:

Hahaaa...!!! :hilarious:

The girls got home 'round noon. Youngest says she slept through the whole thing. Not nearly as bad as they thought it would be. One of the best sleeps she's ever had, she said. So, yes, I wouldn't blame you (at least in the case of this particular hurricane)...! :)

:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I guess that even after setting a park in China.. Iger cant fathom to make a chinese story about china, but instead they want to "westernize it and make it "distinctly chinese"". :rolleyes:

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
First time I've ever seen a goat with a muzzle. He doesn't look exactly thrilled. :facepalm: :p

The new owners of the Tribune Towers are from California. I think it was said they have owned the building like a week now. They were guilted into from out cry of not letting the goat in being the new owners. They agreed only if the goat was muzzled. Not like you go to a local store and find a goat muzzle, who muzzles a goat? A local vet came through when the Zoo down the road couldn't help they said on short notice. I guess the vet came with the goat too. Goat was happier yesterday out in the parking lot without the muzzle.

Who knows maybe the new curse of the goat will move onto a Cali baseball team(s) for denying him entry and muzzling him. :p

A former student from 20 years ago who has now become a close friend and colleague (she also now teaches band) is at Disney right now. Their flight back to Maryland was cancelled. Disney is allowing them to stay in their room through Saturday (free of charge) at Coronado Springs. They are currently at the lounge at Coronado getting the free drinks (Hurricane Happy Hour is until 10pm). I would definitely rather be in The World during a hurricane than most other places on a beautiful day. :)

Color me a little jealous. No... a lot jealous.

Both our DDs spent last Thurs. at Epcot 'till about 4:30p. They had a blast! The place was practically empty. They spent Thurs. night at a friends house in Orlando. Apparently, it wasn't too bad 'cause youngest DD slept right through it.
But, unfortunately, they woke up the next morning to find out their workout group girl RC cruise that had originally been delayed/shortened by a day was now cancelled.
They ended up heading to the Sarasota, Tampa area for a few days. Flew home this afternoon.
Apparently, they still had a great time.
Yes, a major bummer about the cruise, but, at least they got to spend that one day in Epcot...! ;) :)

My friend stayed over for a night, but then decided to rent a car and drive home rather than wait 3-4 days until Southwest could get them on a flight. It was pretty entertaining to follow someone on FB driving the 900+ miles back to northern Maryland and be a little crazy about it... especially when we drive both ways every time. :)

Yea, the girls had a bit of craziness this morning at MCO, and then with a connecting flight later in Atlanta.
Seems to always be a little bit of travel craziness somewhere along the way...! :confused: ;) :)

I'm pretty sure that's why we drive! Saves a chunk of money (that is usually spent on drinks in the World) and we know we will be on the road for 15-18 hours total (including breaks). As opposed to every time we've flown and what looks like a couple hours in airports and a couple hours on planes and maybe 7 hours total ends up being 10+ hours every time and a very high level of aggravation. I'd rather drive and have some quality family time on the road! We bring our own craziness!!
