Is that right now, or earlier...?!

Some of the resorts ran out of food and then got more shipments in, I guess FQ ran out but POR had food but a
1.5 hour line. I really feel for the cast members.

For those not familar with POR, this is the main lobby area, long hallway past lounge, table service up a ramp to food court area.

Caramel for me. I tend to spend a lot at Karamell Kuche.

It's funny, even though I love me some chocolate, I will choose caramel sauce over chocolate sauce every time on ice cream.
Now, maybe, if it was a mildly-sweet dark chocolate sauce, I would combine the 2...!
In a pinch, I'll take just the chocolate sauce...!

Oh my. Yes, familiar. We stayed there twice back in '01 and '04. I know where the far end of the checkin lobby is in relation to the food court...Good grief...!!!

Now that you mention Disney Structures.. I'm suddenly thinking.. what about castaway cay? its almost flat.. do they remove everyone from the island? yikes!

I think POR is the most exposed of all the hotels right? along with COR.

Apart from that, I think the worst is OKW. The distance between the farther rooms to the lobby is a huge road.

When the food court (temporarily) ran out of food they were offering more box lunches still at $12.99. I guess that is the price they assigned because it was also one dining credit if you were on the dining plan and had a refill mug.
No idea what they did for kids or if it was one dining credit for them too. I guess the risk of buying multiple is the sandwich if they loose power. I can only imagine the assembly line to create the sandwiches and boxes.

I guess it also depends on the resort. All the gift shops were pretty well picked clean from what I've seen on twitter and facebook. At the Poly since it is resort guests only there they offered 30% of rack rate prices for TS dining to take the heat off the QS but still they have to be short staffed also.

You take offline all the park restaurants and Springs and stuff all these guests into the resorts with less staff it isn't going to be pretty. Hope they keep power.

Note to self: If ever in this situation at Disney and have warning. Get food to bring back from parks or Springs and bring back to resort.

Caribbean Beach is like OKW too but COR and POR would likely be pretty bad too if you were in the mansions. FQ is pretty tight, that is good for most buildings. All of the indoor resorts like Wilderness, AK Jumbo, GF main building would be a blessing.

Lets face it, nothing is good during a hurricane.

you know, speaking of cruise cancellations.. do they move the ships out of the port?
I mean.. I dont think there are much protections for ships of the size of the OASIS in a port.
they are huge!

The Carnival ships were moved north to ports in New York and Canada.

bargain or not, its still some sort of abuse. Because the guests are TIED DOWN to the resort and cannot leave (think of it as a weather resulted prison) nor order outside food.
Some price mark is good. But I dont think these kind of lunches are even 5 USD.

They're basically glorified kids meals which run about $6.

Sorry, I wasn't attempting to put words in your mouth, I was asking. I don't know what was provided in the box lunches, but, considering how much it must have cost them to staff the place to put them together it doesn't seem all that bad, again considering it is in WDW and also considering how much they would have paid for a meal if there wasn't a storm coming in. Even the items, which I will take your word for was bologna sandwich, etc. as I don't know what they consisted of, but, I'd think that there was more then one choice, just a guess. I'd be amazed if Disney even had Bologna on the premises or certainly enough to feed a lot of people. It must be some kind of loaves and fishes miracle.

What show?

All he said was cartoon network. The group he's going with is mostly girls so who knows. I'm hoping for Potter. Much easier black pants, dress shirt, sweater, tie, robe and I can print iron crests. Last year it was Total Drama. He has until Monday morning to let me know for sure or he's on his own. I got a stack of coupons from the fabric store in the mail for then.
