no idea about trash, but we're talking about heavy failures that affected the service of the paying customers.I think I remember RC also gettin' in trouble for dumpin' a bunch of trash into the sea several years back...?
normal people arent human octopuses too
Thankfully I haven't had to have that type of exam. Yet. The joys of being young.
I do need to find another doctor for those types of visits though. Mine was great when I was first seeing her, but now it's nearly impossible trying to get in to see her. Just trying to get in for a check up takes three months. For my allergist, who was the top in the state, it only took a month for me to get a check up, and that was only because I have limited times when I can go see him. Heck, when I had to have my hand surgery, it wasn't that long in between being told I needed surgery and the actual surgery. If you're not feeling well, it still takes them several days before they can see you. I know for my allergist if I'm sick, he'll see me that day. And her staff is extremely rude. She was a really nice doctor and especially good for a teenager who was going for those visits for the first time, but not so fantastic that I tolerate waiting three months for a check up.
Sympathy and a big hug.I should have known Monday was the calm before the storm at work...
You see, I understand that yes, he is the owner, and in the end, yes, it is his business, but the thing is, I get a heck of a lot more done when he's not there. If his wife isn't in the office (which when he's there, you can guarantee she's not) I call her several times during my shift to report in. She knows basically everything that's going on. And she's the expert when it comes to the HR side of the business. She's also the calmer one who will remember what I tell her. I don't mind him saying stuff like, "Well, when you're calling a candidate, say this a little differently..." but when he's in the middle of what appears to be an important sales call, no, I'm not interrupting to tell him how we're proceeding with a phone line issue. Not when I've already dealt with the issue. If I interrupted, he'd probably ask me why I was interrupting.
I also don't mind if he asks me to use Publisher to make a sales flyer, but when he pulls me away from my desk to send his emails or text messages, and then later asks why his interview schedule isn't filled, that is frustrating as well. He needs either a personal assistant or to learn how to use the technology himself.
This will likely be a good learning experience for me, but the micromanaging, combined with other issues (including the fact that the workload has been so horrible that I haven't even gotten a lunch break the past few Fridays when I've been there all day), might be a reason for me to say adieu come December.
@MinnieM123 BOG has a different menu for lunch and dinner. Lunch is qs but still requires an ARD and food is brought to your table and you can preorder your food or wait until you get there. Dinner is a regular table service but no table cloths.
No but I think it may be on one of their Christmas lists. Why do you ask? I'm afraid to ask. Is it going to cost me money?@figmentfan423 have your boys got Lego Dimensions ?
He has an aortic aneurysm where the aorta branches off to the kidney. Or...that's my understanding. A year ago, it wasn't bad enough to risk the surgery. He only has one kidney because the other one was removed when they found cancer in it. So, I guess the surgery was really risky because they didn't want to damage the remaining kidney, but now the weak spot in the aorta has grown larger and was a serious risk of rupturing, which would be fatal. (my friend's husband died of that a few years ago. He bled out too fast to be helped) So they had to go in and fix it, and because of the placement, it was very tricky. I just got word about 2 hours ago that the surgery went well. They are keeping him in the OR for a couple of hours to make sure he doesn't start bleeding, but he's expected to be just fine.Sympathy like.
Prayers and pixie dust to him and all of y'all!
I think I'm out of the loop (being so far behind). What is the surgery regarding...?
Just that there is loads of new stuff coming out for it later this month ... And yes it could get quite expensive ( lots of chores required )No but I think it may be on one of their Christmas lists. Why do you ask? I'm afraid to ask. Is it going to cost me money?
Ugh...can we trade? It's been in the 90s all week and I'm dying here!!Sorry, we got cool last night. The low 50's.
You've probably already dealt with this as I am so far behind, but, one of our flights changed significantly in time and we would never have made our connection. But they had added another flight at our connection layover that day that was later, so we were able to switch connections and make it through customs, etc. You might contact the airline, explain the problem, and see if they have added any extra flights that day.So I just got around to checking my personal email and I got an email from Delta about my upcoming November flight. I had a 7pm flight booked and they have now changed it to 5:39pm. This is not good! I live about an hour to an hour and fifteen (on a good traffic day) away from the airport, I get done with work at 3:30pm it is an inservice day and we are not supposed to take those days off. It is the last flight of the day. I don't know what I should do. Any suggestions?
I'm thinking of explaining the situation to my boss and asking if I can leave an hour early. In the middle school we usually have a long day that we chaperone a trip to a local amusement park and we get comp time for that so I'm going to ask him if I can trade off in advance. Do you think that sounds fair? Hubby isn't home to ask so you guys get the question. I'm pretty mad that Delta changed the time by so much, I purposely booked the 7pm to avoid this situation. I would also like to avoid getting the flight changed to the next day as we have plans with family early that day.
Aw...poor girl. I grew 2 baby teeth (canines) when I was about 11 or 12 and had to have them pulled. It happens. My mom took me to Dairy Queen after I had them pulled, to numb it once the pain killer started to wear off.So here's my morning.
Me--Why are you chewing gum this early?
Daughter--I'm not.
Me--What do you have white in your mouth? What are you hiding up under your front lip?
Daughter--Nothing!!!!
So I make her show me her mouth because I see something. She has an extra set of fangs growing out of her gums above her permanent set of fangs. Dentist time tomorrow.
My trip report isn't finished yet, but the first half was not at Disney at all, and people haven't seemed to mind. If they don't want to look, they don't have to.I believe that I did a lot of trip coverage when I went to Europe and on this thread. However, I did only do a small amount per day with, if I remember, a maximum of 4 pics, sometimes less. No one seemed to mind. Disney was my first stop on my first day... after that, not a mention other then the hidden Mickey on the Cruise Ship.
