Regarding those Lays chips with different flavors that you and @ajrwdwgirl were discussing, once again, you must be in a test market for those flavors. I've never seen those out here. This drives me crazy when certain foods or beverages are distributed to other areas of the country, and we don't have them!! :banghead: I may or may not like the flavors, but I'd be curious to try them.
You'd hate it here!! There is so much stuff, even just things in the basics categories, that we don't have. And they keep discontinuing stuff. Like...last week, I discovered that they no longer stock a single brand of condensed tomato soup, which I use in my chili. Now I have to buy twice the cans of the stuff you just warm up, which is more expensive. And while we have the cheeto brand here, they have never had the crunchy variety, which is the only one I like. Going to the grocery store in the US was almost as much fun as going to Disney! Just the produce alone...wow...and cuts of meat I can't get here. We have very little selection over here and certainly nothing fancy like all the potato chip flavors!

Funny how last month JK Rowling was done with Harry Potter and now she's back in the news release more carp. It's time to let Harry Potter die. Let it go into pop culture history.

She's worst than sport stars who want to come back

Classics really never die. While different adventures not really different than the cultures of StarWars fans. Like StarWars the Potter obsessed crosses all generations too. Keeping it going doesn't surprise me.

We bought the Greek, szechuan chicken and Indian. The indian was good, the Greek was meh and the chicken was disgusting.

I kind of thought those might be bad. My store didn't have the Indian one, I just saw it on the back of the package. I will watch for it though, we like Indian food. The Brazilian was good, even hubby liked it and he hates flavored chips.

And in the end my favorites are still sour cream ones and cheddar but I do prefer Ruffles over Lays.

Tractor parade? Horse parade? Those sound different and fun. Wish we had those around here. :(

By the way, your photos are gorgeous. You live in a pretty area of the country.

The horse parade didn't have a lot of horses in it this year because there was rain with maybe thunderstorms in the forecast. It is neat, sometimes there are horses all dressed up with ribbons and gear. Usually some wagons and carriages too but again only a few this year. It travels down the street adjacent to our house so we don't have to go far.

The tractor parade was new this year. Normally they just line up the tractors in the park, but they took them on parade this year. There are some new ones but some antique ones as well. The guys take a lot of pride in their tractors. Just like restoring old cars I guess. Just part of living in rural Wisconsin.

Today is the big town parade. It runs right in front of our house so no travel needed. I have the family coming over, so sloppy joes are in the crock pot, potato salad is in the fridge, baked beans ready for the oven, and a butterfinger dessert ready to go.

As for the scenery for the walk, it is the scenery I grew up with. I try not to take it for granted. Everywhere has pretty places though.

I bet you were like a kid in a candy store with the variety. But I'm sure there is some fun stuff in your stores that we would love to have.

The Volvo commercial is so intriguing.
Do you mean the one with the older man, the classical music and the wedding ring? Yes, it is intriguing, but, only to a small degree. Whatever message they were trying to send was overridden by the intrigue. Needs a little more definition and then maybe the connection between the commercial and Volvo might become clear, until then it's just a head scratcher.
