Oh, no! Which maple trees? Do you happen to know?

Last I heard they were trying to figure it out. It's getting both the young and very very old ones. I saw over the last month so many gone.
I don't know which breed of maple but I will ask my neighbor he has a 100 year old one that is stressed. Best I can tell it is only one breed and if I can't ID it I can take some photo's for ya.

Still on the Grill. So far it is surviving. I refuse to heat the house up with the oven.

So far it looks good. I guess I will have to keep reading to see how it came out.

Done. He finds it funny any of you would want food pics of what I eat:hilarious: He thinks my drink pics would be more entertaining:rolleyes:

I'm sorry. I thought Drink Pic's just came under the banner of any snack, beverage or meal was fair game for photo's. But if he wishes clarification yes, I want to see all the lovely adult beverages you guys consume too. :hungry:

It's going to be hot enough today the late group I walk with has cancelled:(

I understand. Our air is at the unhealthy level. Finally after the rain last night I was able to ride my bike last night, it was nearing dark. It was very humid again today and hazy-but by about 730 I was able to go out on my bike with DD for about 45 minutes. I've missed riding my bike but the air has been too nasty.

I'll miss all of you also. Excitement level is going through the roof! So far it looks like great driving weather and gas is priced right compared to our last trip!

I thought about you guys. Our gas prices went up over $1 and they have finally started falling again which is odd for summer as we have an expensive summer blend here. I saw $2.05 and was woohoo'ing.

My husband doesn't even grill. :(

Neither did my Dad. Though my Mom was hospitalized for 4 months when I was 10. He went out and bought my sis and I some pants for school cause he wasn't ironing uniform pleated skirts and jumpers. He made us oatmeal for breakfast each morning. Something from a can for lunch or hotdogs (he came home at lunch because we had to) and for dinner we either had steak, pork chops or hamburgers for dinner 7 days a week and repeat for 4 months. Our side dish was usually potato chips. Looking back I give him a A for effort.

I get really creeped out after our encounter with the big water moccasin, at Saratoga Springs, That was one mean, mad snake! To scary....

We had a housekeeper that finally had another housekeeper talk to us while staying a couple weeks at POR. My son had bought an iguana and a snake, both made of rubber at some stand in Adventureland our first day in the MK. We thought she was playing a game with hide the snake. She'd dump him in a drawer. She'd also arrange their new stuff animals and move them around the room each day. Guess the pretty real looking snake scared her half to death. The other housekeeper asked if we would mind putting the snake in a drawer before we left in the morning. Can't imagine what she was like when she encountered a real one in Florida. I do wonder in the Urban areas if they are common or not.

Well, they did scare me a bit. I had the biopsy on Tuesday (last week). They told me that it would be up to 2 weeks to get the results. Flash up to this morning. I'm walking out of the club house at the golf course at about 7:15am (trying to get in before the killer heat) when my phone rings. It is the Doctor. Immediately my heart sinks. Not only is it less then 7 days but it's 7 freaking 15 in the morning.

As it turns out he just wanted to tell me that nothing had changed at all during the past year, so that was good news, but, he was wondering if I still opted to keep it under surveillance and be biopsied again in two years. Since I am having zero problems other then having to say... Yea, I got cancer... I still want to continue with the surveillance, but, I did want to meet with an oncologist to discuss what options I might have and what might be the wisest choice for me to make. So, he is setting up an appointment for that. So all those words to just say... it may be there, but, it is hibernating and not hurting anyone. For the moment we will call that all good news. Thanks for asking, you have a good memory. I don't believe that Alzheimer's will ever be a problem for you.

Good news. Smart to know the options too. Happy for you that it is hibernating! Amen.

Did someone say "tea"? I am a tea drinker. Do not like coffee at all. I drink mostly Lipton, although when I am on vacation, I will settle for other brands. Since I developed high blood pressure, I now switch to decaf after 6 p.m. I like plain old Lipton Tea bags, but I also drink Green Tea, and Peach sometimes, because I adore peaches. Doesn't matter if it's warm, or cold weather, I still always have a certain number of hot cups of tea a day. No refillable mug for me. I bring my own mug, and use the hot water at the food court at Pop. They have sugar, and creamer, so I am all set. In the parks, I sometimes order the unsweetened tea at the Quick Service places in the hotter weather, although sometimes I get hot tea there too.

I'm not certain of the value resorts but I believe the rooms all now have mini coffee pots. They generally put both tea and coffee in the little basket besides it for your first morning cup. I like tea. I love coffee.

Truth be known, I toss on my fleece jacket first thing in the morning over my Jammies (I take my old lady knit shorts from Lands End to Disney so not really jammies) and then I head with our refill cups to the QS and get our coffee and tea orders. I generally then shower first and head back for round two at QS while others do their morning routines. One more round before we leave (I transfer that to disposible cups I ship to the resort) and off to the bus we do head. By cup number 3 I'm ready to roll in the parks though sometimes especially towards the end of a trip I require a late afternoon cup, especially if it is raining.

Years ago I got my first Mr. Coffee, Tea brewer. Best thing I ever got. 7 Lipton Tea Bags and 15 minutes and like magic I have a gallon of Tea. Two gallon jug dispensers came with it. Put it in the fridge or add ice and there it is. I don't know how much that translates into per bottle, but, it's pennies I'm sure. It's about $3.50 for 140 tea bags, actually less then that if it buy it at B.J.'s or Costco. If I am so inclined I can use caffeine free but that is more expensive. I still keep Diet Coke and Regular Pepsi on hand for company, but, I almost never touch either of them.

I'd like to buy the smaller bottles for when I travel. I've been looking this week because I plan on a quick trip up to Vermont next week, but, here in the south if it isn't sweet tea they are sure that you want something that tastes like lemonade so there is always lemon in it. I hate lemon in my tea. So I will travel with something else and occasionally buy a McDonalds huge Ice Tea for $1.00 or some bottled one at a store.

Have you tried Arizona Green Tea? It has a real pleasant taste and easy on the tummy. Sam's and Costco sell them in bulk here. Most stores around here carry them and they are super sized cans.

That is what I keep saying. If I am going to be this hot, I might as well be enjoying Disney. And then DS chimes in he might as well be in New Orleans. Pain in the...:grumpy:

As much as Disney World has my heart New Orleans is special to me too. I just love the thought of living in the Garden District and having fun in the French Quarter.
