Woof.
Left the office a little early 'cause there was a storm movin' in. Shoulda' left about 15 minutes earlier. About halfway down my old country back road, the bottom dropped out.
High winds, heavy downpour with rain coming down sideways in sheets.
By the time I got near the house, the wind had calmed down, but, it was still pouring. Water running everywhere.
We needed it, though. First good rain in a few weeks. :)

I have enough WDW trips, and Disneyland trips under my belt to be able to recall a few key strategies that have worked for me. I'm no spring chicken, but I have found ways to do do 12 hour theme park days, and not wear myself out. My Disneyland trips have been more recent, and WDW has changed some things up recently, that I need info on. That's why I spend so much time on great websites like this one, so I can educate myself. There's more than one way to have a great time.

Yeah we did too. But the whole state found that once the little buggers are 'here' they don't leave. Everything was to be chipped after a deep frost when the trees were removed. The chips had to be so tiny, most machinery did chop it that small. Then those trucks go to the next sight to chop storm damage or another kind a tree and likely some of the bugs stayed with the hull of the truck. Town vacinated the healthy trees, it has slowed it down but but I can look at them and see what ones will be dead by spring, been a slow death of them all and we had a great deal of them.

Now we are seeing something happen to one variety of Maple Trees. Before all this it was the Dutch Elm. As our town replaces trees they are doing it differently. They are using so many different varieties so hopefully this will not happen again for the future generations, never loosing a huge percentage at once.
Oh, no! Which maple trees? Do you happen to know?

The bad news: my friend who I was going to ask to go to Disneyland with me can't go because she still hasn't found a new job unfortunately. So we'll have to plan a Disney trip for when she gets back on her feet financially.

The good news: the friend who I took to WDW said yes to Disneyland, so it looks like we are going to Disneyland!

But it has to be in January, which is when I go with my parents to WDW, so she'll fly back to Baltimore and I will fly from California to Orlando!!!

But I found out that we will have to fly into San Diego because LAX has no direct flight to Orlando, and it's January: I am not changing planes someplace. I'm lible to get stuck by myself in an unfamiliar city. The rates to fly into San Diego are about the same as flying into LA, so we'll do that and spend a few days in San Diego before heading up to Disneyland.

AND her parents have Marriot Rewards points, so they can cover the hotel in San Diego.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but it looks like this is going to happen...

I'm going to Disneyland. Again. :D
Congratulations! I can't wait for our -- I mean your trip!:D

All - I just want to take a moment to thank all of you very much for your support and friendship during this really crazy career transition that I'm going through right now.

Look, I'm aware that we don't technically "know" each other and this is just online stuff, but you guys have all been a great source of warmth as this has been going on.

I'm very glad to have gotten to "cyber" know you all, and thanks for urging me towards a Phil-less vacation, which I think I am going to book, within the next week. ;)
Aw, stop it! You're making me blush. Now go book that vacation, and tell us all about it!
