Well, they did scare me a bit. I had the biopsy on Tuesday (last week). They told me that it would be up to 2 weeks to get the results. Flash up to this morning. I'm walking out of the club house at the golf course at about 7:15am (trying to get in before the killer heat) when my phone rings. It is the Doctor. Immediately my heart sinks. Not only is it less then 7 days but it's 7 freaking 15 in the morning.

As it turns out he just wanted to tell me that nothing had changed at all during the past year, so that was good news, but, he was wondering if I still opted to keep it under surveillance and be biopsied again in two years. Since I am having zero problems other then having to say... Yea, I got cancer... I still want to continue with the surveillance, but, I did want to meet with an oncologist to discuss what options I might have and what might be the wisest choice for me to make. So, he is setting up an appointment for that. So all those words to just say... it may be there, but, it is hibernating and not hurting anyone. For the moment we will call that all good news. Thanks for asking, you have a good memory. I don't believe that Alzheimer's will ever be a problem for you.
You should call your lawyer to make an eviction, that cancer is clearly a freeloader! just hitching a ride and sucking your nutrients and paying no rent!

I can drink a half gallon of iced tea a day. Plain, no lemon, no sugar. On cold winter days I'll have hot Earl Grey. :)
We were meant for each other. I drink plain, unsweetened ice tea exclusively (other then occasional water). I'd say that I go through at least a half gallon per day myself. I once had an interesting discussion with my Doctor about that. He had mentioned that I needed to drink a lot of liquids each day. I told him that I drink volumes of iced tea on a daily basis. He told me that wasn't the same thing because tea is a diuretic. I said that I wasn't all that anxious to retain water anyway and that water is water. Tea is still 99.5% water and if he can tell me how a body that is able to change oxygen into carbon dioxide and then have the ability to transport that oxygen and c.d. in my blood stream carry it around my entire body and expel it, cannot separate the tea from the water for the purposes of hydration. He didn't have an answer so I have just continued on doing my thing. I'd hate to have me as a patient, I'm grateful for what they do to help me, but, I have many, many questions.

Our local supermarket has been running a special all month of buy one get one big bottle. It works out go about $1.29 each. I've been lazy lately and buying instead of brewing my own.

My trip started out as a trip to Disneyland, and then after I did the necessary research, my traveling party decided they wanted to go to WDW instead. There was benefits to both destinations, and not that much difference in cost. I am excited about staying at POP century again, and really excited about staying at Cabana Bay and seeing/doing all the Harry Potter stuff.

Although, now with my sore foot, Disneyland would have worked better for me. I do plan on a trip there next September for my 70th birthday. I am hoping I can meet up with my one good California friend when I am there.

Years ago I got my first Mr. Coffee, Tea brewer. Best thing I ever got. 7 Lipton Tea Bags and 15 minutes and like magic I have a gallon of Tea. Two gallon jug dispensers came with it. Put it in the fridge or add ice and there it is. I don't know how much that translates into per bottle, but, it's pennies I'm sure. It's about $3.50 for 140 tea bags, actually less then that if it buy it at B.J.'s or Costco. If I am so inclined I can use caffeine free but that is more expensive. I still keep Diet Coke and Regular Pepsi on hand for company, but, I almost never touch either of them.

I'd like to buy the smaller bottles for when I travel. I've been looking this week because I plan on a quick trip up to Vermont next week, but, here in the south if it isn't sweet tea they are sure that you want something that tastes like lemonade so there is always lemon in it. I hate lemon in my tea. So I will travel with something else and occasionally buy a McDonalds huge Ice Tea for $1.00 or some bottled one at a store.

Glad to hear your interim prognosis is positive, and thanks for sharing that. Like you said, just keep an eye on your condition and certainly seek out opinions from other specialists in due course.

Today is my older son's 49th birthday. Next year he will turn 50, and I will turn 70. Where did the years go? Seems like I jut gave birth yesterday. I remember how hot it was when I entered the hospital. I went in on a Monday, and he was born on a Tuesday.
This will make you feel extra old...I am a year older than your son when you had him. My mom is a year older than your son is.

Did someone say "tea"? I am a tea drinker. Do not like coffee at all. I drink mostly Lipton, although when I am on vacation, I will settle for other brands. Since I developed high blood pressure, I now switch to decaf after 6 p.m. I like plain old Lipton Tea bags, but I also drink Green Tea, and Peach sometimes, because I adore peaches. Doesn't matter if it's warm, or cold weather, I still always have a certain number of hot cups of tea a day. No refillable mug for me. I bring my own mug, and use the hot water at the food court at Pop. They have sugar, and creamer, so I am all set. In the parks, I sometimes order the unsweetened tea at the Quick Service places in the hotter weather, although sometimes I get hot tea there too.
I'm with you. I don't like coffee. I drink hot chai tea in the morning. Never change it up; it's always chai. Sometimes I'll make iced chai as well. I like the Lipton bottled teas, and sometimes I drink my mom's iced tea. Always sweetened: hot tea with sugar and iced tea with Sweet 'n Low. I don't like unsweetened. During the day I usualy alternate between Coke Zero and water.

Actually, with your sore foot, WDW may actually be better. In Disneyland, the attractions tend to be short, and there aren't very many attaractions where you can just sit and take a nice long break, especially since the train is currently closed. In WDW, with a few exceptions, the attractions are longer, and there are more attractions where you can just sit down and take a break. Especially Epcot; there's shows and such where you can get on quickly and sit down for a while. American Adventure and Ellen's Energy Adventure are good ones for if you need a long break. There's also the film in France and the Pixar Short Film Festival in the Imagination Pavillion. If you need a rest in MK, try the PeopleMover, the train, of Carousel of Progress. In DHS, there are a bunch of different shows to try, and Muppet Vision 3D. In Animal Kingdom, there's Flights of Wonder, Festival of the Lion King, and Finding Nemo: the Musical. The Safari is also a nice long attraction.

Even though WDW is more spread out, there are more opportunities to rest during the day. I was a lot more sore after my Disneyland trip than I get in WDW.
