Every time a Harry Potter movie is on TV I cannot help but watching it. And this is coming from the person who has never read the books and who has never been to UNI (nor have any future plans to at the moment).

Think of making a plan for UNI if only once and I'd recommend onsight for 2 nights before a Disney trip. We stayed originally at the Portofino their deluxe. I was on a school board convention and I needed to bring my kids and then my DH got off at the last minute, they were over the top impressed only hearing negative reviews prior. It isn't Disney but it is a lot of Fun and great if one excepts it never tried to be Disney. Potter, I can't compare it to anything Disney has created, worth at least a one time detour.

We love FW. We visit every trip and haven't had much of a problem with busses. It's about the same as everywhere else. :)

I believe the negative bus reviews are for the internal bus verses the buses that take you to the parks. That is why many have golf carts or bicycles to use to get from the campground area to the opposite side with all the amenities.

True but having used the internal busses we found you needed to research in which color line to get on and plan accordingly. We only messed up once but enjoyed just riding around the resort.

is that a dog?
looks like a medium sized bear!

I'm not positive but at first blush I thought it was an aging Newfoundland Pup and a tad overweight. They generally go from 100#-150 pounds depending on if it is male and bone structure. Best honk'n dogs, hug-able, Winnie the Poohs. Love 'em.

These Pups love to swim.

Commercials are horrible here. Especially during sporting games.

A football (soccer game) is 90 minutes but only a few commercials so therefore only an hour and a half long. I don't know about the MLS, I have never watched a game. Ironically, a hockey game (60 minutes) and an American football game (60 minutes) are both shorter but with commercials are hours long.

I agree with lots of commercials but it is also an over simplification. In football after the play is over it takes much longer for the guys to reset and start another play, longer often than the play itself but they do not generally break for commercials during it unless there is an injury, a challenge etc. Baseball the same way, very few commercials except during change of innings. I like Hockey because it just continues to flow. Golf makes me want to put my head into a wall.

I think my area is getting 3-4 inches overnight. Tomorrow morning, it's supposed to rain and the temperature is supposed to rise. However, if the temperatures fall, it may switch to freezing rain, just the same as in your area. Love snow; hate ice.
.

My DD left for job #2 at 515am this morning. We had about an inch of heavy icy snow. She said the roads were horrid and untreated. Normally most is 45 mph and she said she went about 15 mph because 20 mph seemed to fast for conditions. 8 hours later still not better. SALT people! I went out and shovelled the slop as the snow turned to rain cause it wasn't melting and I knew it was going to get cold. Still slick though. It for the moment has stopped raining but temp is dropping, puddles will turn to skating rinks soon.

Interestingly enough, yesterday morning there was an unexpected snow squall up on 93 in N. H., just a couple of miles south of the Whites. Within minutes, the highway turned into a skating rink and there was a 35-car pile-up. Once the weather cleared, the film crews arrived and the pictures looked like a demolition derby took place up there! Twelve people were injured; thank goodness, most of them had minor injuries. The N.H. State Police shut down 93 North, in that area, for hours yesterday.

I heard about NH on the news yesterday. Wooba! That was a lot of snow in short order.

A 7 year old girl from Illinois survived a plane crash, her parents, sister and cousin did not. The girl walked through the woods at night with only one sock and knocked on the first door and told the older gentleman that her parents were killed in a plane crash. She has been released from the hospital and is in route home. :(:):angelic:

He maybe a wuss as I may be a wuss. Don't care I am not spending six months of the year wearing enough clothing for an arctic expedition.:) I wore shorts and a T-shirt on Christmas this year. Loved every single minute of it.:inlove: In this short period of time I have grown to hate long pants. I have a pair of winter boots that I am thinking about making into planters. My electricity bill stays the same year round and I heat with it down here. Used to spend $2K or more a season just to keep my butt from freezing. I'm glad you love the cold, somebody has too. It's just never going to be me. :joyfull:

Ha! Post of the Day!

I'm glad you found a place that you don't have to wear hardly any clothes, so that you can save money. :jawdrop: :p Maybe my brother isn't a wuss after all; perhaps he's just frugal. :joyfull:

Ha! My DH is the same way as @Goofyernmost always the last of last out of shorts into jeans. Always in short sleeves unless he is in a suit, which he just hates.

Me, my electric and gas bills are a trade off. One is always high, they just alternate by season.

Yep, even though I've never been into anything HP, I'd sure like to make a trip to UO someday to see for myself what they created, in that regard, plus all the rest. I've seen cool images/videos, and have heard good stuff, and I love meticulous theming. :)
