I find that some perfumes (on others) tend to burn my eyes a little, if I get too close to them. I hate heavy perfumes in general. But that also goes for heavy men's colognes or after shave products. I kid you not--this morning, I was walking up the long ramp to the train, and a man passed by me, absolutely reeking of cologne--and I could STILL smell it when he was a good 30 feet ahead of me. I pitied the poor people who sat around this guy on the train. I watched where he walked, and I walked to the opposite end of the train platform!!

Yep, so much of the froof froof just seems so senseless to me these days. Just shower/bathe properly, throw on some deodorant and your done. Why all the froof. And, I love the people that think the froof is gonna' mask their BO if they haven't showered in a few days...nope, just gonna' make ya' smell like an even bigger disaster... :hungover: :depressed:

Have you ever tried a thunder blanket? Our neighbors have it for their dog. It keeps her very calm during a thunder storm. When I dog sat for them, I would put it on her if I was going to be gone for a long period of time as it kept her calm as well. It works wonders for her.

This is something we talked about again for our "Belly Crazy Cakes" again this weekend.
Knowing our luck though, as soon as we bought one, it would be drought city again for the next several years. ;)

We bought one of those about 3 years ago. Tried it a few times on him, but didn't really seem to make much of a difference.

Oh, I just recalled that you also have to be careful with those in the hotter months, because they fit so tightly, and the dog could overheat, if not in air conditioning.

They always keep her indoors. :)

That is our inclusion program-vs the old way of 20 years ago as a contained environment classroom. We have a contained for extreme behavioral issues and one for catastrophic physical and learning differences within our middle school building. Some of these students arrive by ambulance type vehicles each day and some have their own aides and one on one Registered Nurse. The costs are dramatic.
Our inclusion students have either a one on one aide or 2 to 1 depending on needs. We have a facilitator that reworks the lessons to adapt to the students specific needs vs a classroom teacher. We belong to a co-op of 8 districts that we all pay into and then the special educators travel between all the buildings or a few depending on demand. We actually had two speech therapists assigned to our district. Remember english as a second language or now called english language learners go to speech therapy to learn how to properly pronounce sounds and then the other students that have developmental speech needs. Where the line in the sand is-deaf students. We ship them to a special building for the deaf at the request of their parents. We would place those students in an inclusion environment but every single parent asked for the school for the deaf.
Interestingly enough, our elementary district has different schools of choice. One is a Japanese dual language, one is a Chinese dual language program, a few are Spanish dual language program, and one is American Sign Language. Each of these kids take native speakers and kids that are just learning.

So how do you find the prices at your farmers market by you? Our prices are generally higher than at a grocery store. Usually much fresher at the Farmers Market but we get that sticker price shock.
$6 for a full pint of strawberries. Well worth it, too. The strawberries are red through, juicy and flavorful. Unlike the ones DH brought home from his open air produce market, that many think is a farmer's market. Nope, just brought in from the produce wholesale in the city.
The asparagus was $4 for a bunch. Again, well worth it. Best asparagus I have ever had. And that is from a non-asparagus lover.
