My students today had a half day today, sadly I had to stay at work. I did get a little work done, but I spent a decent amount of time chatting with a teacher friend about a possible girls trip to Chicago this summer.:cool::)

You can pretend you are little kids and go visit the new Maggie Daley Park near the Museum campus.

My guess, and I'm certainly not a lawyer, is that they would favor the father over the grandparents, unless the father was proven unfit. In a situation of divorce, parents will both have priority over grandparents if both parents are fit and stable. It's not that they think she SHOULDN'T spend time with her grandmother, but....given the choice between the father and the grandmother, they are going to give the father slightly more preference...it IS his daughter. As long as he is giving her good care, they would want her to spend as much time with him as she can, even if it's not on one of his "days". And really, that's kind of as it should be, isn't it? If the tables were reversed, you'd want her to spend the time with mom rather than a babysitter...and I'm assuming it goes both ways...so if she is supposed to be with dad on the weekend, but dad can't be there for some reason, mom would have right of refusal or whatever it's called...first opportunity to take over the care for that weekend, before he arranged something else like a babysitter. That's just my guess though.

It depends of the circumstances. The courts do grant visitation to grandparents with divorce. The only time it is absolute where grandparents are without question cut off is the child is adopted out of the entire family. My understanding anyhow.

I like the woodsy outdoors ones best. :geek:

In our area some of our bushes have buds and small leaves, a few of the trees have some little green buds happening. The lawn is green and looks like a teenager, awkward. Some really long chunks, some real short and bare spots where winter has taken its toll, but happy to see anything bright green.

I normally don't talk about Live-Action movies besides the Disney Live-Action remakes. But for some reason I been thinking about the Pink Berets from Illumination/Universal's movie "Hop". While not that many people have seen the people, the only characters I remember getting very interested would have to be the female bunny trio "The Pink Berets". This might be a strange idea, but I always felt it would be cool idea if Illumination Entertainment ever planned on making it actually happen hopefully not to the level of "The Minions Movie" but decent and will avoid toilet humor *cough* Jelly beans poop *cough* and actually be action-packed . I bet this might be the first time the Pink Berets will actually talk since they mostly made grunting noises in Hop. They even got there own theme song.

Thanks Zootopia now I'm becoming obsessed with female bunny characters again which I haven't felt in a long time.

unfortunately, the movie of HOP didn't make much money. No surprise.. because the movie was more like an awkward fest thanks to the "human" character and some dumb ideas.. ( a chick sleight? really? they have tunnels!!)

Those are really bad t-shirts. Hubby tried one package of them, they immediately became rags.

Surprised to read your comments and those of @ajrwdwgirl and @figmentfan423. Back when I was a kid, my mother used to buy those packs, or even individually, (either Fruit of the Loom or Hanes, depending upon what was on sale) for my father and brothers. They held up fine.

Sounds like the quality has gone down the tubes, which is unfortunate. Figgy seemed to circumvent this issue with the "Beefy" t-shirts, which may actually be the original quality, but now you pay more for them.

I get them either on a buy one get one sale or really stock up at the end of the season sale. Like I said the 4 for 10 work just fine for the boys

I am so glad you found time for some wine!!!!!!!!!!!!! How are you holding up?

Meh. At some point they moved my Dad again yesterday. Those ambulance transports never run on time. This time they moved him 30 some miles East in a NorthShore suburb of Chicago, almost to the Lake Front.! :jawdrop: Despite telling him he was going for physical rehab he stuck with the idea that he was going home. Bet it wasn't pretty when he landed at rehab. I'm sure he didn't make a good first impression. My Mom will go today.

Me, it is going to be a beautiful day here today, almost summer like so that should make me happy.

Ha! Love this.....

People who put their feet up on BART trains or set their bag next to them could face some stiff penalties soon if they don’t make room when asked. $100, $200 then $500 in San Francisco. My DD and I ran into this a few weeks ago on a Metra Chicago commuter train a few weeks ago Sadly other passengers will still have to ASK to be seated where a bag or a foot is and those hog passengers are that arrogant to start with.

It's a glorious morning. My baby is at grandma's, my dh is at work, my older ds will most likely sleep past 10 as he was up late and my veggie soup is almost done! As soon as the sun is up I'm going walking!

My DD spent the night. We are going to take the Pup for a walk in the woods this morning before she has to go to work. Last night before I went to sleep I filled Walt's pool up with Water. I took him out the front door to do his thing as I didn't want him to get excited and jump in then want to crawl in bed. At least I thought that through. :joyfull:
