I didn't know that there was a series on that book. I was one of the best novels I have ever read, but, that was probably because I lived during the era that it covered as well as the incident it was based on. I don't know about a series, but, it surely would have made an epic single movie.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2879552/ only on episode 2

A new series based on the Steven King book of the same name
Then I have to see it, I loved the movie about the reporter than didn't believe in the paranormal. Starred John Cusak. It was mostly a solo performance by him. The plot line intrigued me. It was a room number, which I can't remember at the moment. Hubby and I agree this virus is eating all that is left of our brain cells!

I have to see this now, as @Goofyernmost, and I came from the same era. I'm older .:D:p

I really enjoyed it. I agree that there could have been more of the history and showing DL, but I did enjoy the music. I think the best ones were Idina Menzel performing Let It Go with World of Color in the background, the Step in Time routine, the Star Wars full orchestral bit, the Fantasia tribute, and Elton John. Josh Gad going around Disneyland was very amusing and cool to see. They also showed Shanghai Disneyland plans (and seriously, I want their Tomorrowland). I wish they had shown more of Star Wars Land, dubbed Star Wars Experience, although it was pretty funny to watch Harrison Ford with his obviously-scripted appearance looking like he didn't believe a word he was saying.

Glad you enjoyed the show; I consider that real praise coming from a Disney expert like yourself. I went to the ABC web site tonight, and they had some clips I watched, but I couldn't figure out how to get the whole show to view on the computer. Oh well--at least I saw Dickvandyke's "Step in TIme" number-- an overall fabulous song and dance by all the entertainers. He is so amazing at his age to still do a few steps of that dance. Again, I just hope that they'll repeat this show again on TV, so I can view the entire thing, and then determine how much I liked or disliked it (overall).

This was exactly it! Liked it, and didn't like it. And what did they do to Pete's Dragon?

I'm not really that excited about Pete's Dragon, the original wasn't that thrilling to me. Although it has been ages since I've seen it. I'm not that thrilled about the upcoming Jungle Book either, as I wasn't a fan of the animated or the live action (I think it was in the late 1990's) that has already come out.
