I'm taking an Earth Science class this semester as my lab science. Periodically, when we're doing geology, Sheldon pops in my brain.

all my banks have that thing. As well as repeating ads non stop every "Sorry, all our executives are busy, please stay in line. One of our executives will attend you once they are free".
then ads, ads ads...

Ugh. Even as annoying, call, recorded message you are in a queue and remain on the line. 20 minutes into holding, we are sorry we are busier than usual, please leave name, account # and someone will call you back in the the next 24 to 48 hours. :cautious:

Good morning everyone, it's going to snow tonight, but get warmer the rest of the week. Hubby and I are still trying to get over this bug. Hubby read that record numbers of people are showing up at the Doctor's offices and hospitals. We now read that it takes a good month to 6 weeks to fully recover. I hope everyone on here stays well. Hubby found a "sick" map, on the internet and it showed where it is currently hitting people the hardest. Orlando, is a hot spot, as is Chicago, and a lot of eastern and mid western states. Be well everyone. This is a real downer. I did enjoy some of the Disney show, it was a nice change of pace from the usual TV fare. Believe me, I've watched more TV in the last couple weeks, than in the last year. At least it puts me to sleep.:joyfull:

I hadn't heard the 6 month thing. I wonder how they got that statistic. Wasn't even flu season 6 months ago. *scratches head* I hate statistics. Be well you guys.

OK gang, Princess 5K tutu day time...!!!!! :joyfull: ;)

So, starting out with the best of intentions to train, to eat better, to cut back on the beer, etc., for this whole thing, the reality of it is, it didn't quite go that way... :cautious: :D ;)
I gained a lot of the weight I had lost previous to the holidays back during the holidays and only lost about a third of it before the "race". I did some walking, but, not nearly as much as I should have. And, although I cut back on the beer, it wasn't by a whole lot, etc....
That being said, I finished fine, walking the entire course, and felt awesome for having participated, but, I definitely want to do better next year. I want to be able to run most or all of it next year. It was the first time I've participated in an event like this, and now I get it...!!! :)

Anyway, without further ado, and as promised...tutus.....!!!!!!! :joyfull:

As I mentioned in a previous post, there were corrals A-F. Best I can determine, there were over 10,000 participants in just this one event.
Oldest DD, SonIL, and youngest DD were assigned to A, myself to E, and DS and DWifey to F. Once assigned, you can't step up, but, you can step down. So, I stepped down to F so I could be with DWifey and DS. As I also mentioned before, we know how to fix this for next year. ;)
As a result, SonIL had already crossed the finish line while they were just queueing up our corral for our official start...!!! :hilarious:
Also, DS and DWifey blew me away and finished about 15 mins. ahead of me... ;)

Anyway, right after I finished, I joined them all in the runners retreat tent for breakfast. :hungry:

Mission accomplished...!!!

Congratulations on completing the race! I love the tutus, it brought a smile to my face. I especially loved the muscle man pose!

After breakfast, we packed up our tutus, and everything else we didn't need (we proudly wore our "medals" all day long, though ;)) into one of two backpacks and a plastic bag, headed straight for Future World, and rented a locker.
We then went to meet a friend of our DDs from their workout program at TT. She lives in Orlando and has an AP. :)
After TT we did The Land, then Nemo.
Then, to Club Cool so I could get my Beverly fix...!!!!! :joyfull: :hungry:
After that, we were a bit hungry...those 5Ks'll really take it outta' ya'...! :D ;)
As I mentioned before, the only ADR we made for the entire trip was the Kona lunch early anni. gift for SonIL and oldest DD the day before.
So, the 7 of us decided to take a shot at a lunch walk up at Via Napoli...SCORE!!!!! :joyfull:
We were seated in less than 5 mins....!!! :)

It was all awesome-good food...!!! :hungry:

My eggplant parm and roasted potatoes... :)

And, the 3 kinds of pizzas the others ordered...margherita, 4 cheese, and pepperoni... :)

Plus, I had a Moretti, and the others shared a pitcher of sangria...! :hungry:

We've never eaten at Via Napoli before, but, thoroughly enjoyed it. We will be back...! :)

After lunch, we headed for a ride on SSE. Oh,
How I wish it was as Magical as it used to be ;), but, I still love it so...!

After that, it was time for DDs friend to head for her younger DSs school and for us to head back to the resort for some chill time. After all, unlike @figmentfan423, we're not used to gettin' up at 3:30a...! :D ;) :)

OK gang, will post the rest of Princess 5K tutu day, and our DSprings half-day tomorrow...
Have a Magical night...!
Laterrrrrrr...!!! :)

Good morning! We are also above freezing, and the sun is shining. Have to enjoy this while I can. Snow Wed.

Groan. I keep hoping it goes east of us. So hard to take seriously the weather reports from true to hype, the media hype. Will know more I hope by tomorrow afternoon. I have to travel to Oakbrook tomorrow, so glad it got changed from Wednesday.

I really enjoyed it. I agree that there could have been more of the history and showing DL, but I did enjoy the music. I think the best ones were Idina Menzel performing Let It Go with World of Color in the background, the Step in Time routine, the Star Wars full orchestral bit, the Fantasia tribute, and Elton John. Josh Gad going around Disneyland was very amusing and cool to see. They also showed Shanghai Disneyland plans (and seriously, I want their Tomorrowland). I wish they had shown more of Star Wars Land, dubbed Star Wars Experience, although it was pretty funny to watch Harrison Ford with his obviously-scripted appearance looking like he didn't believe a word he was saying.

I had a lot of those scripted appearance moments. It wasn't awful but Lordie not what I was anticipating.

Ant-megedon update: Got rid of the ones marching through the Dining Room. Thought I had tackled the ones in the kitchen, but they seem to like my dishwasher.:banghead: Put a little Terro on an index card, and they are really enjoying it. Every time I pass, I say things like "Share it with your friends. Sharing is caring". My kids think it is hysterical, and it makes me feel better.

Not that it will help you in the moment but I had this issue for about 5 years. Each spring. I now raid gel spray the foundation each fall and the first sign of spring. Ended it thereafter.

I love Sir Elton, he's one I've never seen in person:(

Sir Elton is an amazing gentleman. Growing up with him and seeing him go through all sorts of evolutions to become the man he is today, well I have both respect for him the man and the musician. Class act in the entertainment world and in life. I hope you can see him someday, worth every penny.

Harrison was there for the $$$ just like he only returned to TFA for the $$$

quote from him regarding the film was "i don't get attached to these movies like the fans do, its just a job"

True. To some actors it is a job. To others it is a talent shared and loved. One is fulfilling the other is just pompous.
