Same here. It's about 50 and raining. It poured on my way here, so much so that I had my wipers on full and was still only able to go about 25 in a 40. Had to put my hazards on. I've never had to do that because of weather before. Ended up being late to class...along with half the class. But at least it's not as cold. Even with the blizzard we had, our highs have mostly been above freezing this winter, although we had a bitterly cold weekend.

This Saturday is supposed to hit 60. I fully intend to go outside and walk my street and enjoy it.

We were at a balmy 33 degrees today. It was nice and sunny, I took the dog for a walk and it was lovely! The dog had to wear her boots so she might not have enjoyed it so much. I hope you get your walk in on Saturday, 60 sounds fabulous!

Oh I love Jane Austen, and I really liked Jane Eyre, but the other Bronte stuff I've read has not impressed me. I really am not very picky with my reading. Do you know what the sweet valley adult book is called? I want to look it up! I've read a few of the JD Robb books...they are good, though a bit predictable. My husband likes them, too.

The sweet valley book is: Sweet Valley Confidential: Ten Years Later. I looked it up on Amazon and I see that it came out in 2011 so you could probably get a decent price on a used one.

Crazy expensive to ski in Aspen. But I loved it. I was so bundled and always moving, expensive boots, rarely got cold. But boy! did I come home with an odd tan to my face. I usually skied with sunglasses over goggles unless it was really blowing but that sun left some unique marks on the face with sunglasses.

Heeheeeee...!
Yep, there are pics somewhere from those trips of a bunch of us looking quite the opposite of raccoons...! :hilarious:

Perhaps it may vary by state? I know in MA that a doctor has to visually see the body and pronounce the death. (Not sure where the coroner fits in to all this.) Perhaps a coroner is only called for cases with unusual circumstances, such as suspicious deaths.

Yes that was my comment too that it might vary by State. It could be the coroner can pronounce death by natural causes over the phone in Texas unlike here. A doctor must see them to pronounce here but things vary so much from state to state.

Yea it looks like a full day of school tomorrow! It was some crazy weather here Snow then ice then rain and 50, now it's dropping and the rain might end as flurries. There had better be a full day tomorrow I have a few things I'd like to get done, one of which is getting out and walking with my friends early in the morning. I hate snow days and my younger ds was on the phone most of the day when he wasn't bothering his brother.:hilarious:

We got about 2 inches of icy snow. Slick but not the Blizzard the East got.

I'm coming to a rapid boil, reading this, we had a trip planned in October , going to cancel. Other than using our 10 days for our time share, we will only go that one time. Not three times a year.

You can likely hold onto the October resevations for a bit longer to see how it all shakes out. Don't know yet how cash on hand short they are. It might be done with by summer. Disney will be hard pressed in the summer to close so much up and understaffed their parks and not have total anicary. I'd wait it out a while.

Don't know for sure, but it doesn't look like either is loosin' any, or much, money around here. They both just keep building more and bigger.

I go to SAMs and avoid Walmart. They closed a SAMs quite a while ago in the NW Suburbs, victim of a new and nicer COSTCO.
The SAMs I go to doubled in size. Walmart just lacks checkout staff much the same reason I avoid Walgreens. Walgreens are nice and convenient until you go to checkout.

Eeek. I was camping in Wisconsin with friends, a storm kicked up trees falling, tent leaking and holding water atop. I was in my early 20's that was the final one. Hated it. I did a genuine wilderness canoe trip down the Wisconsin River when I was 15 and our Camp chaperone had a pistol under her pillow that I should have not seen her slip under there, reality check. We pitched tents on sandbars in the middle of river at night. 2 week of heck on earth at night, days were beautiful. I'm not into bathing and washing my hair in a river though. And as a Girl Scout I went twice, both times in icky weather. Never did that again. I grew up with nice hotels/resorts, this outside stuff isn't for me but I did try it multiple times and it is certainly in that never again category.

*Sigh* I honestly do miss my crazy-fun outdoor adventures of years gone by. :)
Everything from chasing bears outta' camp in the middle of the night, to sleeping only under a tent fly in a sleeping bag overnight during an unexpected torrential downpour, just over a mountain peak, because we had no time to pitch full tents...!!!!! :joyfull:
I'm not joking, those really were some of the funnest times of my life...! :)

Now, even though our DDs Girl Scout years, were a bit different (always cabins), they still have great memories. DS and myself were most always there to help, and either slept in another cabin, or on the front porch of theirs. At one place, I had a raccoon that visited me for three straight years in the middle of the night lookin' for food. More great memories. :)
DWifey, although raised by a great outdoorsman pop, and mostly having hated camping at that time, still had fun too...! ;) :)

OK, so youngest DD and DWifey went over to mom and pops a little while ago to borrow an extra carry on bag for the trip. Then mom remembered she found an old faded drawing in a box in the attic just the other day that I had done years ago. I remember drawing this in 7th grade art class. They totally surprised me with something I had long forgotten about...! :)

Fortunately, and as per usual, we don't have anything remotely close to a snow day here tomorrow, so we'll all be walkin', doin' last minute plannin', and gettin' ready to jet to WDW tomorrow evenin'...!!!!! :joyfull: ;) :)
