That was hilarious. My other personal favorite is the "Why is there nothing in Epcot and DHS for girls?" Once I got over the fact that there still exist people, especially women, who think that way, it was pretty funny. Especially when the OP said something along the lines of, "Girls don't like Star Wars" and someone tagged me. :hilarious:
Sometimes even just the title thread I am like

I so remember those days of college and craving sleep. The only times I remember craving sleep more was when I had infants. Back then I really was envious of people who had nanny's so I could sleep more than a couple hours in a row. One of the reasons my kids are 5 years apart.
I'm already out of college, working for who knows how much.. and I still crave sleep XD

I'm not really surprised threads like that are repeatedly started. Sometimes it is as simple as which moderate resort to stay at? or is DVC really worth it. Me, I don't start many threads. I read a thread like that and move on. What does surprise me is the people that bother to waste their time engaging in the OP thread with nothing to add but insults. If they could just let it go the thread would fizzle out so quickly. I just don't grasp the need to participate in Popcorn threads by long term members, they know how it will end.

I do get the participation in threads like DAS if you have something to contribute or set something straight. There was one thread a while back about who could and could not use or should use a disability marked toilet stall. With all the nastiness came one poster that was actually an architect for large facilities and he actually brought clarity and a real non emotional answer to the stall controversy. So out of all the slamming back and forth I learned something.
To be honest. the whole thread felt very baity.
They tried to explain him that is a bad idea.. they indeed tried.. then he degenerated in trolling/childish acting. For someone who claims to be above 40.. I was all irked at his replies instigating fights.

Oh that is soooo cute!! How old were you all when you baptized him? And wow....that must have made an impression...your aunt being a nun and all. That's the thing, isn't? No religion has the monopoly on morality or immoral behavior, nor are religious people exempt from being complete jerks. I started going to...I THINK it was an ALC church in the last couple of years of college. I had gone to the MSL church every Sunday for a year AND sang in the choir and most people still didn't know my name. And it WASN'T a large church. It just didn't feel like a home. So I started looking around at other churches, which made my mother so mad. She was ok with me not going to the Campus Center, only because one of her best friends from back home was married to a MSL minister and their son refused to go to the campus center as well. She figured if the pastor's son wouldn't go there, there must be a reason, and as Jeff (the pastor) wasn't worried about it, it was ok. But she did not agree with me "church shopping". I told her I didn't really need a "brand name" (denomination) on my faith....I am Christian. She wasn't happy about it, but there wasn't much she could do about it.

I'd say we were 7 or 8. We had already made our First Communion so we quite aware the Jewish friend was destined to go to h*ll.

I can remember needing to memorize and recite: We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen. I didn't really have any grasp of the Creed but that part stuck. It was in my prayer book so it was obviously true. Right? He knew he wasn't baptised, the book said he must be to be resurrected so he was equally as urgent as we were to get him baptised quick as we were protected since about 4 weeks of age.

I just wonder if we left the Holy Water all over the floor after our baptism was complete.

My Aunt Nun, I really didn't associate her with Church or School as she was assigned to Indiana Parish. I just knew her as Aunt Nell and Nell was just mean and abusive to children, just nasty to around. She was a school teacher or 1 & 2 grades from what I remember. I'm sure there are children in Indiana that remember my Aunt not that I'd claim her.

I'm withya in the baity post. I took most of the original replies to the post as fueling the melt down that followed. That is why I call them the popcorn posts. I didn't find the responses to be kind thoughts about it being a bad thought for a thread, more retorts to start an avalanche.
I read only a little bit of the beginning and the end. That was enough.

Yea it looks like a full day of school tomorrow! It was some crazy weather here Snow then ice then rain and 50, now it's dropping and the rain might end as flurries. There had better be a full day tomorrow I have a few things I'd like to get done, one of which is getting out and walking with my friends early in the morning. I hate snow days and my younger ds was on the phone most of the day when he wasn't bothering his brother.:hilarious:
