Good morning today is one of my favorite days as it's the start to Can, Can sale at Shop Rite. It's pantry stocking time for me. Today I'm going to fill the car with canned tomatoes. Feel free to feel sorry for my boys as they're going with me to carry what ever I get:D They have to earn their Disney trip!

I'm sure she is a lovely person, but, with so many other domesticated animals that need a good home, it seem that a duck with diapers to be a bit over the edge. But, to each his or her own. If it's something she wants to do, it isn't my business anyway. I hope I didn't offend you by my statement, that was not my intent, however, throughout my post I couldn't stop thinking about those episodes of "Friends" when Joey and Chandler had the pet duck and chicken. :)
Wow....I'd forgotten about the Duck and the Chick. But that's a bit different. They were bred to be pets for people who just wanted a chick or a duck, not animals that were rescued after being hit by a car or attacked by a predator, etc. And if an animal is rescued, and can't be re-released, what's the difference between a rescued duck and a rescued dog, really? The duck did live outside in her pool area originally, I think, but there was something about this particular breed of duck not being native to Florida and they didn't know HOW it even came to be there, but there was some reason he didn't do well outside. And she had found a conservation place to take him, but the day she brought him there, some other ducks killed another duck of the same breed because it was an outsider..apparently ducks can be very territorial. They were worried about his safety, so instead she just took him back home and decided to keep him inside the house instead. And there are companies that make the diaper harnesses, so it must not be THAT rare if people can make a living off of selling them. Might seem a bit weird to you and me, but then I think it's weird to have a snake as a pet and there are lots of people who do that. To each his own, I guess. And now that I know her, yes, she's a bit eccentric, but she's very kind and sweet.

:jawdrop::joyfull::jawdrop:
she "kicked" the bedframe and broke her little toe rotating it in the process.One x-ray,two injections and a rather loud manipulation later she is looking at 4-6 weeks healing time . Thanks for the sympathy.
Oh no!!! What did the bed frame do to her that she kicked it? DS broke his toe when he slipped on a piece of paper that had fallen to the floor and his foot slid right into a bookcase. He had just turned 5 the week before, and I had to take him to school on a bike and carry him in because he wouldn't walk on it. Hope you don't have to carry your wife around...probably easier to reason with an adult than a 5 year old, though...in most cases.

Being kind and sweet, is what life is about. You sound like you have a very nice, and caring friend.

best filet ever.. no seriously. this has to be the best meat slice I ever had in my whole life!
the service was kinda bad (slow) but otherwise, it was awesome!
:D I'm still trying to decide if it is served on a plate or if that is a coffee cup saucer. :joyfull: Being Disney and their penchant for pretentious presentation, I'd go with the saucer.
I have often wondered if small servings on large plates was somehow more filling and gave it the ability to justify the price tag.

I'm trying to make a dining itinerary so that I can make ADRs as soon as they come up, and hubby says it's all me...he doesn't care where we eat or when. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Also, when making ADRs, I read somewhere that if you have a reservation at a Disney resort, you can make ADRs for your entire stay 180 days before your check-in day, up to a 10 day trip. So effectively 190 days in advance of the last day of a 10 day visit, but how do they know I have a reservation at a resort? You don't need one to make ADR's do you?

Would love to know what carrier you fly. We use United as Denver is their hub, and they have more flights to Orlando, but after so many years of mess ups I would like to find someone better!:) I'm glad you had a great holiday, we did too! The grandkids put us through our paces with their new games!

We've always flown Southwest Airlines to WDW. No major problems, no lost luggage. Except for our trip this coming February...we're flying Delta. Even though we have layovers in Atlanta both ways, it was cheaper this time, and we're only takin' carry on luggage.
When we flew to DLR in June of '10, we flew Frontier Airlines. As far as I remember, those were direct flights from Austin. No problems. :)
