:jawdrop::joyfull::jawdrop:
she "kicked" the bedframe and broke her little toe rotating it in the process. One x-ray,two injections and a rather loud manipulation later she is looking at 4-6 weeks healing time . Thanks for the sympathy.

Poor her. My DD when small did that in the Jumbo house. Those bedframes at AKL in the standard rooms are nasty. Hope she heals quickly.

you're lucky!. I 've had my huge doze of delays, cancellations and lost connection flights.
most scary was when I was still almost completely deaf with a normal hearing aid.
Had to write a lot.
thankfully, I got free hotel, vouchers.. first class..etc..

Oh my. First class.
Years ago before we had kids, we used to fly American Airlines free (other than tax) because my SIL was a flight attendant for them. Plus, since it was "free" we had to fly standby. We got bumped up to first class a few times.
It's a whole different world up there. :)

I'm trying to make a dining itinerary so that I can make ADRs as soon as they come up, and hubby says it's all me...he doesn't care where we eat or when. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
Also, when making ADRs, I read somewhere that if you have a reservation at a Disney resort, you can make ADRs for your entire stay 180 days before your check-in day, up to a 10 day trip. So effectively 190 days in advance of the last day of a 10 day visit, but how do they know I have a reservation at a resort? You don't need one to make ADR's do you?

If it has not changed yet again, off sight guests or any resort not Disney's can only book at the 180 mark. Disney resort guests can book ADRs at 180 days and go 10 days into their booked trip. I believe they asked for our trip reservation number so everything sync'd on the Disney planning app. Now if you are staying off sight I believe you have to call every day (or book online) at the 180 mark. I believe they take a $10 per person deposit on all TS reservations too.

And that is what Special Services are for. If requested I'd meet a plane, pick up unaccompanied children, disabled passengers, blind, deaf, dementia, and they'd come hang with me in my waiting room where I could keep an eye out for changes in their flights. The kids got put in a room behind me 'cause we were responsible for children flying unaccompanied. I'd take all their boarding passes and line them up with departure times and then kept checking monitors to make sure nothing got canceled, gate changes, time changes. I'd move their assigned seats around if I didn't like where they were randomly seated depending on their needs. The UMs always got put all the way up front in their given section so the Flight Attendants could keep an eye on them and they were generally the first passengers to always be pulled off the flight at its destination by another gate agent. The worst was when the kids connecting flights got cancelled or they missed them and had to wait 'till morning. 'cause guess who had to stay with them? I couldn't leave until the morning crew came in at 5am. Yep huge burn out factor. It got old fast.

Now you at that time being deaf I would have put you on the next flight out no matter if it was ours or someone else's and had someone take you to your next gate, ticketed. I would have bump'd someone else to get you the heck out of my room. Nothing personal, I did what I needed to do to get these special service passengers out quickly from my room.

:D I'm still trying to decide if it is served on a plate or if that is a coffee cup saucer. :joyfull: Being Disney and their penchant for pretentious presentation, I'd go with the saucer.
I have often wondered if small servings on large plates was somehow more filling and gave it the ability to justify the price tag.
id say the beef was of the radious of a small platter of soup. and around 4 cms of height.
pretty standard, obviously, not as big as the other steak they offered.
the other one was pretty large, a big slice.

Wonder if Tarzan is 'comfortable' down under?
he looked allright.climate wise, it was hot.. 28C most of the day.

today was sooo different, it started raining and kept raining worse.. most live shows canceled, ended soaked..
finally tried splash mountain (we all did it with a poncho on).
yikes! the second drop (the dark one) feels way harder than the final one (the one that throws you to the spiked trees)

we also did thunder railroad, haunted mansion and the barnstormer. My niece and I also did the pooh ride and a M&G with Merida.
sadly, we had to cut down the day because my mother was freezing herself. It was windy in the last hours.
pics to follow.

indeed, now if you get delayed, they even hardly give you vouchers now. I did not like AA.
Feels worse than United after the merge with Continental. Used to love continental too.

except I tried these special services, and they failed again and again when on united.
I asked twice to get an attendant as I knew nothing of the airport and needed help getting to the plane.. they never came. was ed.
Complained and the airline claimed it was a failure of the airport crew, not the airline.
would have loved to have you as an attendant.
you know what was the worst?
when united oversold a flight. and I got kicked out despite me having done the reservation8 months earlier.
seems they give priority to whoever "checks in" first online...

We are home from Disneyland, booo.....since we had a red eye flight I didn't get much quality sleep in so today has been pretty useless. We unpacked a little but taking down any Christmas decorations was not going to happen. We also had our kitchen redone while we were gone so that was fun to see (I'll post pictures later), and I was even too tired to put that back in order. We had a good trip, but I really wish I didn't have to work tomorrow.

Oh I would have played that disability card. Cardinal Rule. Don't mess with the patrons with disabilities. Me, I wanted all my special assistant passengers boarded ASAP before anything could go wrong. Are your reservations flagged as Special Assistance passenger?
