That seems more of a cycle than actual accidents.
I had a cousin who did get hurt fairly constantly.. almost felt like he was doing it for attention.

Ha! Yeah I don't think so. Maybe some crave attention not this one, she is actually the opposite has never liked attention drawn to her. First time she broke it she was 48 pounds with a 22 pound backpack, tipped over going down front staircase heading for bus. Yep this board member started a board policy about weight percentage of body weight to books sent home. Too late for her but dang.

The next year she stepped on my boy golden retrievers paw.

The third time a gown-up Dad at an outdoor swim meet kicked a rock as she was walking to the block, full force to her foot. He took her down.

The last time she was in my truck coming home from 530 am swim practice during the summer. Kid blew through stop sign and T-Boned her. Slammed her body sideways into door of truck. Kid totalled his pick-up, mine bigger and better had a dent in front quarter panel. Likely saved her from having more than a broken foot and headache.

So sometimes what looks like attention getting cycles to some are just that accidents and when there is a weakness in a part of the body it tends to snap that much easier. Me it was my ankles. I was a gymnast. None of us stuck our landings all the time.

Thank goodness the T-bone didn't do worse damage. Those are super scary.

I had an AMAZING experience w the Santa at the RiverTown Crossings Mall and I want to share my story with you:
My child is amazing! He has his quirks and drives me bonkers, but he is amazing! The other day he went to see Santa w the cousins. He said his peace to the old man in red and walked away. While aunt Brittany waited for pictures to print, he went back to Santa bc he wanted to tell him that he has Autism. He was flapping his hands, all excited to let Santa know that he has autism.
Santa sat him next to him and took L's hands in his and started rubbing them, calming them down. Santa asked L if it bothered him, having Autism? L said yes, sometimes. Then Santa told him it shouldn't. It shouldn't bother him to be who he is. L told Santa that sometimes he gets in trouble at school and it's hard for people to understand that he has autism, and that he's not a naughty boy. Santa told L to not worry and that he has been a very good boy being who he is. They sat, and chatted for at least 5 mins. Santa payed close attention and listened to him. This just melts this momma's heart! My child is a great advocate for himself. But this day was different. He opened up to this person about who he was and he was accepted. He wasn't a science experiment, like he gets treated when most people find out he autistic. He was Landon, sitting with Santa and being told that it was ok to be himself. Mommy tells him all the time that he's special and I love him the way he was made, but it's always nice to hear it from others. To be told that it's ok to be who he is.
We have met a lot of amazing people in our Autism journey, but this one made the top of the list.
Shout out to the Santa at the RiverTown Crossings Mall. You.are.AMAZING!

That truck was built like a tank. Had over 240,000 miles on her when she left us. Between the weight and 4x4 she was amazing in the snow. The dent from my DD being TBoned was maybe 4x4. I rode my bike to the accident and back again. I put her back in the truck when all the reports were written and had her drive the rest of the way home. It wasn't until much later when the shock of it all set in did she realize her foot really hurt.
