We are stuck in the low 60's, cloudy and high winds. Right now they are whistling like they do during a snow storm making it feel very chilly. I'm not ready for this yet. Well ever.

As far as I know, he's coming home either tomorrow or Saturday.
I haven't heard anything about in patient rehab.

You know, I always find funny the cycle of complains regarding weather..
In winter.. "too cold.. too much snow.. cant wait for summer"
then summer hits full force.... " too hot, too much rain, too much sun, cant wait for winter"
We have not had summer weather but a few days for year #3. My plants never got that vivid green to them, more a faded green. My palms look like the ones they keep in offices. Upside aside from the week our pump didn't stop running before the sew line exploded my summer electric bills for the A/C have been lower. The last thing I'm in the mood for is cold and snow. Last year it snowed on Halloween.

That's quick. My Dad was sent to hospital in care rehab. I have to say he was there at least a month. But we have to remember my Dad was not great at doing what he needed to do with his heart operation nor his hip so both times they rehab'd him. He has amazing health coverage and they pick up a 100% of whatever medicare doesn't. Both the hospital and rehab center for his hip were more than willing to keep him as long as Doc's said necessary. And my Mom got a needed break as he is 'needy.'

I'm more worried about who'll babysit @MR FERRET! Sometimes he gets himself in a bit of trouble! If my power goes down I'll wrap myself in a blanket with my Disney planning books. That's what I did during and after Sandy. Nowhere near as good as being here, but at least I'll be doing something funI hope they don't shut your power down. How are you going to play on Chit Chat with your buddies here, if you don't have power?

Hello roomie! Please keep the rent low as I'm moving in with a nice large smoker!It was 92.5 here yesterday, 91 today, and supposed to be about the same tomorrow...
It's 48 cloudy, windy and the sun may not poke itself out until next Wednesday. Time to up my vitamin D

Happy Friday! A very happy one indeed! It looks like the worst of the storm is heading out to sea! YEA! (picture Kermit the Frog , I need to find a clip of him) I'll get Noreaster conditions, but nothing I can't deal with. Lots of wind and rain, upside not enough to shut the power and considering how dry it's been no flooding. I'll keep an eye on the forecast as you never can tell with a tropical system, just call me cautiously optomistic

I haven't named my car. But I get decent mileage. My car is wicked small compared to the behemoths on the road.
If anything....it's the little engine that could. aka...horrible on hills

A women I work with never heard of a Noreaster and she has been up here two years. It's like how haven't you heard of it?

Great idea, I'm always in a good mood when I wear something I really like , or is comfortable. In the winter, when we aren't going anywhere, I have my personal jammie day. I bought some plaid flannel sleep pants, and long t-shirts, just to wear for jammie day. I don't sleep in them, so they are special to me. Along with my cozy slippers, I'm a happy camper. And warm too.Do what I do when it's cold--wear all kinds of fun outfits. I have many different vests (both synthetic and down), sweatshirts, hoodies in all colors and weights, and different weights of fall to winter jackets. I like to wear different colors every day, and when it gets really cold, I have quite a few different mittens, gloves, scarves and hats. I love this kind of clothing and I always have something to look forward to in the mornings, picking out the color scheme of the day!

I agree, there is some really nice mascara on the market. Why do they need fake eyelashes? I would be afraid of getting glue in their eyes.I'm still trying to wrap my head around how fake eyelashes will make them all a better dance team?I hope the girls can go back to mascara; they'll look pretty enough.
