I don't know why you would even think that there was something to take offense too. I appreciate the response and the fact that he took the time to post it. I'm fine with it, but, I agree that it would be very easy to make the wrong call, in either direction. My upbringing was always that you don't fix what isn't broken.:grumpy: That is why I have that approach to the situation. I know I don't have the only opinion on this stuff. :)
I'm also painfully aware of the possibility that I am wrong.

Alright @MinnieM123 , it is freezing outside and I do not like it. :grumpy:

Do what I do when it's cold--wear all kinds of fun outfits. I have many different vests (both synthetic and down), sweatshirts, hoodies in all colors and weights, and different weights of fall to winter jackets. I like to wear different colors every day, and when it gets really cold, I have quite a few different mittens, gloves, scarves and hats. I love this kind of clothing and I always have something to look forward to in the mornings, picking out the color scheme of the day! :joyfull:

Good morning, everyone! After 3 quotes for the right tree, I would say we have a winner!
In the "I saw that coming", DD's dance team will be wearing false eyelashes for competitions this year. Some of the moms seem pretty upset. The poor coach they put in charge of breaking the news was all "Don't worry, we'll have a fake eyelash class." I have enough trouble getting my daughter to put on the mascara. Ought to be fun...:banghead:

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how fake eyelashes will make them all a better dance team? Even as an adult, I don't like those--they look FAKE!! :in pain: I hope the girls can go back to mascara; they'll look pretty enough.

Am I the only person upset about the menu changes at Pecos Bill's? I was really looking forward to a veggie burger and fries there! Some of my other dining options look like they might also change Morimoto's looks good, I'm now thinking about going there on a day we're not going to a park. There's too many places we want to eat for the amount of time we have

They don't have veggie burgers anymore? o_O There are some veggie burgers I actually like, and they're pretty much standard fare in many places.

Cat is unsure about what to do with herself. Between me having surgery yesterday and getting a new refrigerator today (ours went up over the weekend) she alternates between being on top of me and staring at the refrigerator.

My dog was staring at the kitchen wall last night. It's not a new wall, but he was staring at it. Every now and then, he'd look back at us at the kitchen table, and then he'd stare at the wall again. I swear there was nothing on the wall.

Howdy, and good afternoon to you too, Figgy!
He's doin' well, thanks for askin'!
I got a text from youngest DD about 15 minutes ago that they were getting ready to move him into a regular room soon...! :)

Wow, that's awesome that he's moved from the CCU, into inpatient ambulatory status. This is wonderful news. I'll also bet he can't wait to go to his own home, with his own livingroom, kitchen and bedroom. It's always hard when you're not around your own stuff, not to mention having to rely on others for everything in the hospital. I wouldn't be surprised if he went home sooner than predicted by his doctor. I'm sending him more huggies. :)

That's an idea I can get behind. Letting the child pick out the book to donate, could be a fun outing too.

Yah, that's fine, but I'd also just wish they'd let these kids be kids, and enjoy some cake and ice cream. Next thing you know, they'll ban them from smiling while on school property . . . oh, I hate this stuff. And you know what? I had 8 years of nuns in school, and even they seem lightweight compared to some the rules these kids have to follow. :banghead:

Shutting off the distribution system as a major storm approaches is a practice followed by many utilities in areas prone to Hurricanes. This practice reduces the risks to the public from direct contact with hot lines and also from hot lines falling into trees or buildings that have shifted starting fires, across damaged vehicles and igniting gasoline, and across Natural gas or LP gas pipes and meters that are damaged by shifting structures. By turning off the system the damage from the distribution system become more a physical problem (a cold wire falls) rather than an electrical problem (with sparking facilities as the hot lines make contact with other objects).

This practice also reduces the magnitude and scope of upstream power system equipment damage (like transformers) since the damaged lines are not subjecting the equipment to repeated and broadly based short circuit currents. That reduces the chances of a cascading problem tripping off a wider area of the grid and makes if simpler, faster and safer to restore service once the event has passed and the lines have been patrolled.

Hubby of Bet's. Hope this helps the understanding of what Utilities are trying to do. Worked in the Industry for about 45 years, Wife was a little short on that.

Thank you Hubby of Bet! It's always helpful having "inside" information. :D

If we need to, we can always put him in one of these:

Cage accessories not included.
Probably best that way for @MR FERRET... :angelic: ;)
