So pretty! I love those kinds of trees.
About the same out here, too! I am so ready for summer to be O-V-E-R already!!![]()

My avatar might suggest that I'm never really ready for summer to be over...![]()
Thanks, Gabe!
Yep, it went well and he keeps getting better.
And, yes, although not even remotely close to the ride pop took, it was a bit of one for all of us, too.
ghosts I tell you!!My dog was staring at the kitchen wall last night. It's not a new wall, but he was staring at it. Every now and then, he'd look back at us at the kitchen table, and then he'd stare at the wall again. I swear there was nothing on the wall.![]()

I love good news. And yeah 'all this' certainly zaps the energy out of ya, the adrenaline keeps you going until you're past that crisis and then you realize how tired you are too from the stress of it all.
My eyes, my eyes!!![]()
That's the thing about animals: sometimes you can't tell when they're being weird or when they are trying to tell you something. Belle was staring at the old refrigerator before it completely broke, so we should have known something was up.My dog was staring at the kitchen wall last night. My lil' sis drove in from Lafayette, LA the night before. She gave the head nurse her phone number the next morning as the number to text updates to (yes, that's a thing now - or maybe it has been for a while, I don't know) just before they took pop for the op. Another nurse gave us a number to call if we felt the need to contact them about how things were going. They said the operation should take about 3-4 hours
During the op while we were all in the ICU reception room, we got 2 texts that things were going fine in about the first 2-1/2 hours, then were told we would get another one in about 1-1/2 hours as they were wrapping up. Well, as the 1-1/2 hour mark came and went, we were getting a bit nervous. Finally, I decided to call the contact number at about the 1 hour and 50 minute mark.
I was put on hold for about two minutes as he went to check...felt more like 2 days.
Anyway, they had texted us at about the 1-1/2 hour mark to tell us he was fine and they would be starting to wrap up soon, but, said sometimes the signal is weak in the hospital. The whole thing actually ended up taking about 5 hours, even though they said there were no complications.
Whew, that was the most stressful part of it all.
@donaldtoo. I hope you and family are getting more rest. I hope pop is getting stronger and better each day.
You know, I always find funny the cycle of complains regarding weather..
In winter.. "too cold.. too much snow.. cant wait for summer"
then summer hits full force.... " too hot, too much rain, too much sun, cant wait for winter"

Thanks, Bet's!
We're all getting more rest, indeed.
And, more importantly, pop is also getting stronger and better every day...!![]()
