I use apple cider vinegar on my salads. I read that vinegar can help you lose weight. Not working. I need that blood work done tomorrow, I think my thyroid meds need to be increased.I put a teaspoon or 2 in my salads and it seemed to work. I never seem to measure food when cooking, I just go by what looks and smells right to me. my younger ds is the same way.
I guess we have gotten to the point where there cannot be any adult based things to do. Include children or be damned. At $350 per person there had better be some libation involved along with something that would interest young adults. Personally, I'm not sure I'd want my children in a room full of adults with that type of "Wizard" based obsession. I don't have anything against fans of Harry Potter, but, seriously, doesn't there come a time when childhood obsessions are grown out of? Other then Mickey, of course!Ha! No Children Allowed at a special Christmas Hogwarts event. Too funny.
You have a lot of talent, making roses. That looks lovely. The cones here are different...smaller, so I don't have to bake mine as long, and cake here is different, so I always make mine from scratch as they don't have boxed mixes here. Cake here is more dense and dry and it's done in a loaf pan...more like pound cake than what we think of as birthday cake. I've learned a LOT about baking since I moved here because I either had to do without all my favorites (brownies, cake, cheesecake, cookies, cinnamon rolls, etc) or I had to learn to make them. Here are the ones I did for DD's 6th birthday treats at school.View attachment 112685
I don't use many recipes anymore, except for baking. It's tricky out here, and you have to be precise.I'm the same way. I measure some things when baking, like flour and sugar, but not things like salt, vanilla, etc...those I just eyeball. But when I'm cooking, I tend to go by smell and look.
I'll be glad to get more time napping for me!Would you take a nap for me, too, please? My pain meds make me drowsy, but things still have to get done.
Thanks! It's DD's favorite...for her birthday parties, we usually let the kids decorate their own cupcakes instead of doing one big cake, but I have to have a piping bag of frosting on hand to make the roses for the girls, because they ALL want a rose. You have a lot of talent, making roses. That looks lovely.![]()
Glad you had something to occupy your time. Tell "pop" hello from all of us on Chit Chat. I wish him the quickest and most painless recovery possible.BTW...
On a shelf in the ICU reception area we found this big basket of random, tiny puzzle pieces. Hundreds and hundreds of tiny pieces. No boxes with pictures for reference. Appears to be about 3 or 4 different puzzles.
So, this is what most of us have been working on for the last several hours...!

Good morning @ Gabe1. That is funny, I wonder why?Ha! No Children Allowed at a special Christmas Hogwarts event. Too funny.
I take the light Progresso soups, and add spices more water and veggies (sorry), to make them less salty. I do like how those soups tastes, and it cuts the cooking time way down. I use frozen veggies in winter. Our "fresh" looks shriveled up by the time they get here. They have low sodium soups in their line as well.
Why would you want to contaminate an American staple like that, with extra veggies??!!![]()

Sorry, I guess I didn't get that memo. So everything spends eternity constipated. I was hoping that heaven consisted of an endless buffet line, but, if blockage is involved I'm a little concerned.![]()
I had those too. They look so silly, with the leggings that are fashionable now.The one shirt looks like a Twister board! I love the stirrup pants too, I remember having a couple pairs.
I liked them. It's been a couple years since I read them, I'm going to pull them out and re read this winter. The Kingdom Keeper books are pretty good, I am about 200 pages from finishing the series. My husband is even reading them.
Good morning @Minnie123. I would need a sweater down to my ankles to look good on this body!Just for you, and @Gabe1, @MOXOMUMD , @catmom46 , @betty rose , and @figmentfan423 -- you can still buy these!!!![]()

Our school requires store bought treats with approved ingredients. I mean the grandkids school. I'm a little scattered this morning. Getting up at 3:30, is just not for me. I'm going for my second cup of coffee to clear the cobwebs out of my brain. We're not allowed to bring treats like these to our daughter's school.![]()
I scrolled past on your reply and I didn't see the r in the work britches. I scrolled back really quick because I was like WhAAAAAAAAAT is going on here?!!? Guess I shouldn't read so quickly.
