National Weather Service has already issued flash flood warnings in my state over the next 48 hours. Rain is supposed to start tonight.
The rain is really going along with some really loud bangs! It's going to go to go on and off until Joaquin is supposed to get here. I have enough propane and kerosene to get me through a week if needed. This is one time I'm really happy I keep certain things stocked up. I sure hope none of the supplies including glow stix and batteries won't be needed. Charging hand held video games, portable DVD players and tablets as we chat! Good luck!

I just took this quiz: Which Disney Mom Are You Most Like?

I got: Emily, Andy's Mom! http://www.playbuzz.com/williambaggins10/which-disney-mom-are-you-most-like

Imaginative and extremely hard-working, you are most like Andy's Mom, Emily from "Toy Story"! Your heart swells with the love of your children even as you read this, and even moreso when you realize just how much of yourself you see in them. Whether by strong genetics or a beautiful relationship, you have at least one child that is YOU made over, and for better or worse you consider it a dream come true. You've always cherished youth and encourage creativity and imagination in your family - wouldn't have it any other way!

I am ok.. I'm definitively not dumb. I go upstairs and downstairs holding the handrail tightly.. and I'm still bad..
I might probably have an infection.. I dunno.

thanks for your concern.

The worse is.. have been trying to make an appointment with my doctor.
but the phone is ALWAYS busy or doesn't connect D:
Eeek. I hope you got through to your doc! Does that have anything to do with your recent weather? Hope you're feeling better xoxo

Hahaaa...!
Which I'm enjoying the last few sips of right now, actually...!!! :joyfull: :)

But, I'm out for now, gang. To say the least, it's been a long day, but, it's back to the grind tomorrow.

Pop is doing even better than they expected, and they are quite surprised. His sense of humor is crackin' up the medical staff and us, as per usual...! :)

Again, I can't thank you all enough for the support. You all are angels.
The sweetest of sweet dreams to each and every one of y'all...!
See y'all reeeeeaaalllllll sooooooonnnnnn...!!! :)
That's excellent! How long will he be cooped up?

That's what we call the grad school students at my work - they actually will try to get food before a meeting or event sometimes! :banghead:

It happens where I work too, but they're not grad students--it's the rest of us who work there! (I've been quite adept at pulling out a bagel from a breakfast tray, and then just ever so slightly moving the other ones just a smidge, and the empty spot "fills in" quite nicely! :D

If we do a group chit chat WDW trip during Christmas time, we'll get these to go with our ugly Christmas sweaters! :hilarious:

I've got mine ready! (This would pair nicely with red stirrup pants, don't you think? :D )

OMG! Those look like the guys gymnastic pants! Giggle!

Did you go fall shopping yet. Those long sweaters are back again. I look back at photos of me, Big hair, Big Sweaters....ultimately in hindsight this fashion is best on tall slender women. Me, while fairly slender at least for my age, I am too freak'n short for such long sweaters and a tad too old for leggings. Thinking I am best to keep wearing my jeans though those sweaters were mighty comfy.

Yes I have gone fall clothing shopping, but for work/business clothes. As for casual clothes, I haven't really picked up on any trends for fall. The trick is to wear whatever style looks best on you, not what the clothing companies are trying to push.

And a big tip for fashion magazines: a fashion model told me that if I see an outfit I like on the page of fasion magazine, to cover up the face of the model--and take a second look. It's amazing the different perspective that can give you at times . . . you might then see that the outfit would look ridiculous on your own body size and height, and/or be age inappropriate. ;)

Thank you so very much! :)
It's funny you bring that up. When we were talking to the anesthesiologist before the procedure, he told us that when we see him in recovery he wouldn't look quite as pretty as he does right now.
When I went to see him about an hour ago, he actully looked just the same as he did right before they took him to the OR, but, was still totally out of it.
He's coming around quite a bit more now, but, has requested some pain relief.
They should be removing the tube in his throat around 5p.
Thanks for asking. :)
Fantastic that he still looks good. My FIL had a series of heart attacks just last month and they were able to just put in a stent to solve it and he didn't need a bypass, but he looked kind of greyish the first time I saw him after it, and then he got his color back over the next few days. I'd wager if your dad is already looking pretty normal, he's golden! Still praying, but it sounds pretty positive!!

BTW...
On a shelf in the ICU reception area we found this big basket of random, tiny puzzle pieces. Hundreds and hundreds of tiny pieces. No boxes with pictures for reference. Appears to be about 3 or 4 different puzzles.
So, this is what most of us have been working on for the last several hours...! :)

I see the one says "ice cold ...der" so I googled "Puzzle cider mill" and this one came up, so if you have to go back, you can at least reference one. http://www.amazon.com/Mega-Puzzles-Hometown-Collection-Puzzle/dp/B00FXYI50U
