BTW...
On a shelf in the ICU reception area we found this big basket of random, tiny puzzle pieces. Hundreds and hundreds of tiny pieces. No boxes with pictures for reference. Appears to be about 3 or 4 different puzzles.
So, this is what most of us have been working on for the last several hours...!

Ha! Now you know what can be donated to the family holding pen. I would have taken one look at that bowl and ran. Then again I'm known to MAKE random pieces of puzzle fit.

When my DD choked in the room at POR and I successfully administered the Heimlich, cleaned her, cleaned up room-on way to bus I stopped in the General Store and bought two little single serve bottles of wine and a bottle of juice for DD to drink on our bus trips to meet the boys at Boardwalk.

After I had had my DS at the hospital they gave us a half bottle of wine and two glasses with dinner.

I sure hope they have a staff up there to pick up after them otherwise heaven would be hell to walk around in. All the pictures I have seen depict everyone as being barefoot too. Not good!

Oh, for goodness sake. There's no poop in heaven!! That's an "earth" thing.

Have you ever checked the sodium content on those? Besides how can I sneak in all the extra veggies LOL

They have low sodium soups in their line as well.

Why would you want to contaminate an American staple like that, with extra veggies??!!

Sorry, I guess I didn't get that memo. So everything spends eternity constipated. I was hoping that heaven consisted of an endless buffet line, but, if blockage is involved I'm a little concerned.

Pop came through the operation fine.
The Doc came to see us about 30 mins. ago and gave two thumbs up.
We'll be going to see him in about 30 mins.
There is still a 1 percent chance he might have had a stroke (typical odds for any heart surgery for any age) during the procedure, but, won't know for sure 'til he wakes up.

Again, I'd like to express my sincerest, heart-felt thanks to all of you here for all the well-wishes and prayers. It comforted a great deal.
Y'all are the best...!

I'm so happy he came through this so well. After a recovery period, I'll bet he'll be better than ever!! GREAT NEWS!!

in other news, I have no idea whats going on with me. I just went to the bathroom and felt severely lightheaded and I'm still with vertigo.
Just ate something so hopefully will see if its related to lack of food, sleep or what..

If you want, you may find some over-the-counter meds such as Dramamine, Bonine, or Antivert that can help steady your balance if you get a bout of vertigo. I've had vertigo maybe twice in my life, and if I took just one of those pills each day for maybe 5 days, the vertigo would just pass. I took the lowest dose possible. I don't know what the brand name would be in Mexico, but the ingredient in all is meclizine. I hope this passes for you. Vertigo ranges from mild to fairly intense, depending upon the person.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the happiness from free food is not exclusive to college students.

You should see it where I work -- VULTURES! Any food left out after a meeting, and people go nuts!!

It's funny you bring that up. When we were talking to the anesthesiologist before the procedure, he told us that when we see him in recovery he wouldn't look quite as pretty as he does right now.
When I went to see him about an hour ago, he actully looked just the same as he did right before they took him to the OR, but, was still totally out of it.
He's coming around quite a bit more now, but, has requested some pain relief.
They should be removing the tube in his throat around 5p.

He'll be much happier once they remove the tube from his throat.

Yet another product I don't like You can call me fussy.

I got called by a recruiter...booo. I hate them but I would go to them if I have an interview with the company they're recruiting for on the same day.

T minus 1 day til I don't have come til work until they tell me to. And the kicker is we don't get paid if we miss work (which this wouldn't be our fault) because our company is evil.

I read this a few times, and I'm still trying to figure out the message. Are you saying that your company is putting some of the people there on an "as needed" basis? So are they saying you're not full time anymore, unless they get in a big job and need everyone at work? I hope that's not the case.
