I was assigned to a nurse practitioner and she is great. Has even called after hours to see if I was doing alright. Always follows up on everything and is responsible for a lot of the improved health that I have accomplished over the past 4 years.

I don't mind seeing nurse practitioners. The only follow up calls I've ever gotten have been from nurse practitioners, I always think it is a nice touch to get a follow up call. It gives me the impression that they care about my health, that gives me the warm fuzzies.

I'm a pick-your-battles kind of mom. I wasn't allowed to choose my own clothing or anything, and I let my kids do that because...what's the harm? So they go to school with a crazy outfit with stripes AND polkadots. It won't kill them. As long as everything is covered that should be covered, it's ok by me. There needs to be a good reason why I say no to something...like it not being safe, or being insensitive. If I say no, my kids know there's a reason.

That is how I raised my kids though I rarely said no to anything my DD requested. Swear that girl was born a mature adult. ManChild here and there had to hear no but not too often. They learn quickly what the boundaries are and most of the time they'd stick between the the posts.

The N.P. that I deal with is amazing at getting to the problem, and suggesting action, setting up prescriptions and wanting to know how it all worked out. No ego, just what feels like a genuine concern. My previous long term Doctor and I got along well, but, he also taught medicine at the University of Vermont and I think he was much more focused on that then patient care. I'm glad I moved and was forced to leave his care, because things have been so much better since then. I, of course, didn't realize that until I was into a new situation.

seconding this!.

I also have a huge fuzz regarding the flights.
Sometimes you cant find the proper one to reach on time early. And end with a flight arriving VERY VERY LATE.

infact.. speaking of flights..
Anyone knows what is the last bus for the magical express? we're arriving at almost 12:00 in the morning (aka midnight)
As @MOXOMUMD said it can run all night but they do close when the last flight arrives that they have guests with reservations for.

It is very important if for whatever reason your flight number changes to call Magical Express and update your reservation. If your reservation flight is cancelled they will leave and close if all the flights have landed on their schedule. If you update new flight numbers they will wait for you all night. It happened to us for my DD 16th birthday. They at that point still delivered luggage during the night and fortunately I had already pulled tip money out and had on hand at 4 am when bellhop knocked on door. Me answering door in my Jammies and windbreaker, sure wasn't a pretty sight after 1.5 hours sleep.

Reaches through the screen and *pinches* you real hard.

Sadly the magic number is still 1. We lost today. I highly question one of umps calls but whatcha going to do? Still can happen if someone looses tonight but not the same as doing it by winning yourself. Wrigleyville will be fun if they just make the playoffs any which way. We loyal fans are not choosy.
OUCH!!! :arghh:

The original Muppets were always rated G. I haven't seen the new show yet, so I can't really comment on the new one. That aside, I suppose there's really nothing nowadays that some group won't protest.

Agree. Anytime any group of any type becomes overly controlling or overbearing something or someone cracks. I think that is why most people tend to be moderates on most topics. I watched 17 kids and counting a few times and while some found it fun I actually was unnerved by the reality show and after a few times that was it. No all the revelations of the family issues didn't surprise me, disgust yes surprised nope.

@Gabe1 I watched some of the Pope coverage today and how cool is it he was letting some of the younger children take selfies with him. Those are some special memories for when they grow up!

I'm getting a real kick out this Pope. I missed the selfies, I would have enjoyed that.

He has pretty well tossed out all the old and ancient thought processes of follow orders don't think don't question obey. I hope he sticks around long enough to address the glass ceiling the church has for women. I can remember not long before he became Pope the commercials and marketing slogans of Catholics Come Home. It did nothing to bring the mass exodus of parishioners that had fled back. With this Pope it would have likely been more successful.

I often wonder while chuckling if the Priests that elected this Pope at the papal conclave have had those moments of Oh No, what did we do. I'm just so impressed with all the turn of events that are happening with him. He is great with kids as you said and all sorts of people, now governmental people you can tell he doesn't have that same comfort zone and that he likely doesn't care for all that.

It has all been so pleasant to watch.
