My toddler would beg to differ.
It's not that it's bad, it's just after you hit puberty if you're a woman, you start watching for the prince as well as the princess, sometimes more so (I got very excited at seeing Flynn Rider in Festival of Fantasy:inlove:. Anyway...). And in the original version, the prince has as much personality as a wet rag. Every other character in that movie has more personality. Including the very bad cat. In the new version, the prince has much more personality. Not to mention an actual name. Oh, and I like Cinderella better in the new one too.

I'm getting a real kick out this Pope. I missed the selfies, I would have enjoyed that.

He has pretty well tossed out all the old and ancient thought processes of follow orders don't think don't question obey. I hope he sticks around long enough to address the glass ceiling the church has for women. I can remember not long before he became Pope the commercials and marketing slogans of Catholics Come Home. It did nothing to bring the mass exodus of parishioners that had fled back. With this Pope it would have likely been more successful.

I often wonder while chuckling if the Priests that elected this Pope at the papal conclave have had those moments of Oh No, what did we do. I'm just so impressed with all the turn of events that are happening with him. He is great with kids as you said and all sorts of people, now governmental people you can tell he doesn't have that same comfort zone and that he likely doesn't care for all that.

It has all been so pleasant to watch.
I'd really like to feel optimistic about Francis, but, I can't help thinking about what happened to the last Pope that had a progressive inkling. I'm signed up, with my sister for a group audience with him in October. I hope he is still there when I arrive and that the Vatican doesn't collapse when I walk in.

Yes! You have just redeemed yourself!
And original Alice in Wonderland was better than the live action one, although the live action one was still pretty good. Although, due to my mildly unhealthy obsession with Alice in Wonderland that I've had since I was your daughter's age, anything Alice is good. Like pizza and particle accelerators, even the stinky ones are still pretty good.

What progressive inkling? I hear him talk a lot about helping others. Helping the poor. Talking a lot about children in vulnerable situations. To me that isn't progressive. That is just being a good human being.

Exactly! Being progressive means that he isn't necessarily sticking to the accepted way that things have been looked at in the past and is open to new ideas and leading by being one of us with a fancier set of clothing. It has already been reported that he is creating a lot of grumbling among the establish clergy that do not like to see any changes happening.

Ehh. The only thing I would call change is that he is a lot more humble it seems than one would expect from a pope. And maybe talking more about taking care of nature as that seems to be important to him. He also tends to stay away from what many outside the Catholic Church consider to be hot button issues as he is not very confrontational. But everything else seems to be what I would expect from a pope.

Although this is only my third pope in my lifetime. :)

This is my 6th and except for the one between John Paul and John Paul II he is vastly different in how he relates to the people.

Ha! I'd enjoy being the fly on the wall for the audience. And yes it is hard for him to be the rebel that he has been so far. Still I'm lov'n the show. I can't ever remember another with this type of chutzpah.
