I'm debating to go to London solo. Which would be huge because I never went anywhere solo but either no one has the money or I don't like them enough to go with me. My uncle also has come back from a trip to England and wants to show me pictures. I don't what to see them. Why? It will make me depressed.

I get to leave early from work today. We scored an excellent on our evaluation so the bosses are giving us an hour.
I flew to London by myself last year, but I met up with friends in the UK and we traveled together. My friend from Australia and I walked across London to see the different places where the Harry Potter movies were filmed, and of course platform 9 3/4 in Kings Cross Station, then our friend from Ireland and friends from the UK joined us for the Studio tour, then we went to Lacock to see the Harry Potter sites there (yes, we're HUGE Harry Potter fans). It was soooo much fun. I don't think I'd want to travel alone....flying alone I can handle if I HAVE to, but actual travel, I wouldn't feel safe.

My first 2 cars were a 69 Cutlass and a 68 Impala. I moved my dining room table and 6 chairs in that Impala with 2 people in the front seat and the trunk fully closed - what a boat it was!
My brother had a '63 plymouth...I think it was '63 anyway. That thing was a TANK. He sold it to a guy who ran it in a demolition derby and came in 2nd. My first car was a 77 Chevy Malibu, and it was yellow, so we called it the Banana Boat. Well...my ex-bf called it Xuel because he was convinced it was possessed by demons. But everyone else called it the banana boat.

My sister's first car was an Olds 98, convertible. What fun that car was! Very speedy.

Next Friday is the first dance of the school year:eek: Guess who already has an outfit picked out! also deodorant and body spray:hilarious::arghh:
At my daughter's school, they don't do dances. Instead, 3 times a year we do Gym Jam for the middle level kids (6-8 grade). Teachers lounge has different treats--for October, they will be Halloween themed. Costume contest. Bobbing for donuts at this one. DDR in one room. Minute to Win It contests in another room. Face painting, tattoos (sorry, @MR FERRET not permanent), lots of things going on. The kids get tickets for playing the games, and they can turn them in at the end of the night for different prizes.

You're right on both methods. I've done both planning and zero planning trips. (Note: of course it's easier when you go solo, because I don't have to take into account others' wishes, etc.) Although I'm fussy about airline flights and what hotel I can stay at, and at the right price, the rest of the trip I usually just go with whatever I feel like doing on any given day. (Plus, I don't really do any TS meals anymore, so wherever I eat is just walk-in.) :)
seconding this!.

I also have a huge fuzz regarding the flights.
Sometimes you cant find the proper one to reach on time early. And end with a flight arriving VERY VERY LATE.

infact.. speaking of flights..
Anyone knows what is the last bus for the magical express? we're arriving at almost 12:00 in the morning (aka midnight)

it's a open secret that I want a one way ticket to Europe even-though the politics are the same.

I believe ME runs 24/7, but if you arrive before 5am or after 10pm, you have to take your luggage with you to the bus.

One of my co-workers just sent out an email asking if anyone has a JAZ drive he could borrow.

My response: How about jazz hands instead?
