@Gabe1 , how long after the summer do you continue to barbecue outdoors? I have enough charcoal to last through the end of this month, and that's probably it. Note: Last year I barbecued into October, but I lost daylight around 7, 7:30 p.m., and I couldn't see if the food was cooked! So I had to keep bringing it in and out of the back door to the kitchen area to check it! Ha! That convinced me it was time to put away the barbecue for the season. :p

Meanwhile, doggie Jack will be devastated once I pull the plug on outdoor barbecuing. You see, every time I open that back door (even if I'm just tossing something into the garbage can, at 5 AM) he comes bolting to the door, in anticipation of delicious barbecued food. Aside of his favorite hobby of hunting flies this summer, his other favorite hobby is scouting out what's cookin' (for him . . .) on the outdoor barbecue. (Open door, burgers, chicken or ribs come in.) He thinks it's magic.

My dh solved the lighting problem, he installed flood lights by the grill and smoker area and he has a head band with a light on it for when he runs the smoker overnight.

THNX for asking. Very well and yes and yes. So far so good.

Do they have any good sports at the school? When I was growing up, my brothers participated in various sports leagues, but none of them were through the schools. The better sports leagues, at that time, were the town-run leagues. They had fun!

It was also different back then, in the sense that the boys didn't have fancy uniforms. For baseball, the boys would have a cap with the team's name on it, and then the team t-shirts were donated by various local businesses. So the team name (let's say, The Cubs) would be on the t-shirt, and underneath that it would say something like "Mike's Hardware Store". :hilarious: Then they'd just wear jeans and sneakers to complete the "uniform". As funny as all this sounds now, it saved the parents a ton of money. I have friends with kids in various sports now, and I'm in shock over how much they pay, just to have their kids participate. Hockey is the most expensive.

I DVR'd it and watched it today. I was expecting a lot of it to be a condemnation, instead it was a more logical depiction of what a person with that kind of drive and imagination might be like personality wise. Not always pretty, but, certainly not Charles Manson type of thing. Good so far, recording the rest tonight although I may watch it as well.
Never having read any books about Disney, I watched with fascination of how Walt came to be this wonderful creator. His life, however seemed to be plagued by his own personal demons. I think that is common for really creative people. Surprised me that he had no personal friends. He always came across as a very likeable and approachable person. I loved hearing that the brother's were so different, with Roy's feet on the ground. Interesting portrayal of both brother's. No criticism of either brother, they were who they were.

Well, the rest must be stabilizants, chemicals to prevent agglomeration and anti bacteria.

reminds me of Taco Bell, hiding how their supposed " 100% beef" was BS.
Most of their "meat" is actually filling made of chemicals, fillings, soy, wheat and other derivatives.
I mean, seriously.. less than 36% is real beef.. the rest are filling, flavorizants and chemicals.
Not a fan of Taco Bell.:depressed:

It was near the end of part 1 prior to the Animators Strike where Walt gave a speech to his animators which infuriated the staff when it was over. This must have been found from the Disney archives and Walt said "dam" a few times during that speech (Which back in the 40's and 30's was considered shocking to the public). I remember seeing an ad for the American Experience of Walt Disney DVD after part 1. Thankfully both part will be streamed online tomorrow.

Hearing that speech from Walt himself was pretty shocking since we're mostly familiar of Walt during the 50's when Disneyland got built.
I made another comment about the show, frankly it wore me out watching it. Walt certainly had an interesting personality. I knew he smoked, didn't know about the drinking though. As someone else said "nobody's perfect".

My first Astronomy class in college was like that a lot of math. I dropped it because I wasn't doing well (shhh, don't tell my science students), and the next semester I took it with a different professor. There was still math, but he was actually a consultant for NASA as well and we learned a lot of cool stuff. I was really glad I dropped the other class.
I'm glad I took another Chemistry class my first professor was not good at communicating .

Double Digits Woot!!! What kinda holiday are ya planning?
We are staying in a hotel for a weekend. That's as far as I got so far. :joyfull: We may take a ride on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, do the corn maze at the pumpkin patch, mini-golf, picnic on Lake Erie, the list goes on. My niece's boyfriend works at an orchard that gives tours so that's an option. My nephew is a supervisor for the Cleveland MetroParks so we may see what activities he can get us.

When I finally get every planned and we go I'll take some pics. :)
