are you sure its Tae Kwon Do?
I honestly never seen anyone from Tae Kwon Do using weapons.
They supposedly teach kicks as main source of damage.

Perhaps its not Tae Kwon do and more like Kung Fu and other weapon themed martial arts?
No it's Tae Kwon do, the chapters in Colorado do weapons training. But, that's for showmanship, and to compete. Not to be used as weapons. He has learned to break wood with his hand. Do a kick to break a nose, and other use of his body.

ROFLOL Usually right before a Florida trip I cut my hair short so it's easier to take care of. The only regret from the last trip is I didn't do that, so this weekend I got a "Florida cut" only 11 months early. It's taking some getting used to but I am happy it's done in 5 minutes.:hilarious::banghead::joyfull:
I do the same thing. Cut my hair shorter. It's just too hot for hair along my neck.

Awe! Wish I did. My Mom was not a memory person. She tossed everything from my childhood. Me as a result saved so many little memory moments for my kids. My son recently when home had cause to look for cuffs his grandfather willed to him in his Jewelry Chest. That is where I've stuffed for years tiny tokens of his past he didn't care about at the time. He must have spent an hour going down memory lane. Made me happy that I stashed the stuff.
All of our Disney pics, except for a couple and other memory tokens got washed away in the big Kansas City flood. I feel most sorry for daughter, she has little left of her childhood.

I don't think that was what happened. I was a very protective Mom and every once in a while a kid breaks away from ya. On a ship as crowded as those decks are when the ship leaves port it is difficult to find a little squirt in the sea of tall people. Disney put lifeguards in place after the young boy broke away from his folks and they immediately tried to find him and notified staff. The child lived but has many issues as a result. International Maritime Law is an odd holdover of lack of responsibility for just about any responsibility while out at sea. More sail at your own risk, little legal responsibility. One Cruise Line has always had lifeguards, Disney finally followed suit. It has always bothered me that Disney being a family orientated Cruise line never had lifeguards only deck attendants. If it was from guest pressure, marketing or legal I'm glad they finally posted lifeguards. While lifeguards are not baby sitters when something does go wrong at least they are properly trained first responders something that little tyke could have used. Disney never announced the addition of lifeguards. One sailing they were poof just there.
Great insight into the world of cruising, and life guarding. Thanks for sharing.

It's a bridge, and there's grass growing on it. :D
It kind of reminds me of the TV series on History Channel (I think) called "Life After People".

I have quite the list, regain sanity, enjoy lower food bills, enjoy less cooking, organize house, start getting out winter stuff and putting away summer items. Start organizing holiday lists and just when the holidays end it will be ADR time. I like that we're not going in June for a change as doing ADRs right in the middle of holiday season was a giant pain in the bum!
Down here you could save a step due to the fact that our Summer Clothes are our Winter Clothes. We do, however, tend to wear long pants more often then shorts in winter. (sometimes):cold:

It's horrible now. I was bullied in middle school pretty badly by this one girl. She would stop me in the hallway, especially if I was alone, and call me names, taunt me, laugh at me, call me fat, etc. She would bring her friends and they would basically create a wall around me so that I could not escape. I would try to stand up to her, tell her to go away, etc., but it never worked, except for that one time my one friend, who could get really scary when she was mad, told her to turn around and walk away before the girl could even open her mouth. It got to the point that I was afraid to walk alone in the hallways, though. I reported it to the administration when it happened. Know what the administrator said? "Oh, typical girl trouble." I even got in trouble for telling her to shut up. Really? There are a lot worse things that I could have said to her.

My dad finally made a phone call to the administrator. Let's just say the problem stopped after that.:cautious:

In retrospect, I am glad that my parents made the decision to not allow me to have social media until I was older. I was on sites where I was anonymous, like this one, in high school, but no Facebook (or MySpace, which was the popular website for a while) or anything with my name on it until age 18. I could have an instant messaging account and email, but nothing else. I think it probably saved me from a good deal of bullying, especially in middle school. Maybe in high school too, although my one friend said he never really observed it by then.
So sorry for your experiences in middle school. Just because a lot of girls bully at that age, doesn't make it right. I'm glad your dad got it to stop.

It's about that here!:cautious::rolleyes: Sweat suit for my morning walk! At least it will warm into the 80 later and we'll be in the pool! One week until school here. I CAN'T WAIT!
Our pools are closed for the season. I'm not much of a water person, I learned from my Mom, she was very afraid of water. I did take swimming lessons, though. And have a respect for water. So, when our pools close, I hardly notice. Glad you enjoy your pool time.

I'm sure they're the type of people who turned burger flipping into a career or at least one can hope!
Our bullies, and not nice girls. Were the popular kids of wealthy parents. They had the gall to have a "class" reunion, with only themselves and spouse's , invited. Some people just never grow up. But, that was and still is the culture of the area I went to school.

We finally got our copy of the Unofficial Guide to Disney and my dh couldn't believe all the changes to the FP system and he's not liking them. What should I tell him to calm him down?
Simple... just say and a loud clear voice... CALM DOWN!

Seriously, it's not as bad as everyone is thinking it is. Different yes, but, since some sort of planning is required for any WDW trip, I think it really helps plan out a day to get the most out of it with the least amount of stress. The stress is done ahead of time. After that you just follow the plan. I love it. No running back and forth to get FP's, just set them up, and in any time between them fill in with standby. It really did work very well for me and got me Fastpasses that I was never able to get before.

Mr Ferret 75

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Keeping this PG i say guve him a beer (other beverages are available) and tell him to relax.the whole FP+ thing is a lot less hassle once you are there than previous incarnations.work out wether you want your rides early or later in the day and plan around your now guaranteed tides/meet and greets. If i can do it then anyone can.

Are they big changes during park visit? Or changes you have to do before going to the parks? If it's before maybe you can do some of the leg work, while the boys are in school. Then maybe it wouldn't impact him as much.

@MR FERRET , you've taken some nice trips over the years, and it sounds like you have a few good ones planned for the future. Maybe you and your wife should work in the travel industry?! ;) (You know, travel agents often get free trips.) :)
Great idea, I think all of us on here should become travel agents. We can give each other, discounts when traveling (I'll take mine at Disney), and get free trips win - win.;)

He's not a big fan of scheduling his vacation time. I'll schedule and just tell him when and where to be. I like it better when I just point the way to 95 south.

We have to keep 4 seasons of clothes out, most of the year. We can go from the 40s to the 90s in 24 hours.
