I love these pictures! I was surprised to see how much Walt enjoyed animals. Thanks for sharing. :)

His love of animals came from the part of his childhood that he spent on the family farm in Marceline, Missouri.
I bet you would enjoy reading a Walt Biography, or two. I recommend "Walt Disney: An American Original" by Bob Thomas. I've read many others that weren't quite as full of fluff, but, that's a good place to start. I also have Bob Thomas' first "Disney's Art of Animation" book. Good stuff...! :)

@Gabe1 , I tried your cup of ammonia suggestion for the towels today. The bottle said to add it to hot water, so I did the towels in a hot water wash (it has a cold rinse cycle though). I always wash in cold, so I had to remember to turn on the hot water faucet to the machine. They did come out soft and fluffy, just like you said! :D

So once in a while, I'll use your method to de-cootify the towels, but most of the lime it's easier for me to just dump in some detergent (and a dryer sheet into the dryer). But it was an interesting experiment! ;)

OK, so I guess once in a while you won't be a member of the CCCCCC. ;)

So I did something idiotic today. I bought a package of spare ribs, and a bottle of barbecue sauce, and I figured I'd be able to put them on the barbecue grill (I have charcoal) and cook them for dinner. A little while ago, I thought I should look up on the internet about how long to cook them, as I've never cooked spare ribs before. Well . . . I've never seen so much confusing cooking information about anything before. Some recipes say to boil them at first; others say not to. Some tell you to slow cook them for 6 hours (too late to do that for dinner tonight), some say to cook them in the oven for a while before, and then grill them. Some say just to cook and/or broil them in the oven.

Hence, I need to figure out something tomorrow from all these convoluted directions, when I have more time. I just told hubby we're having grilled cheese sandwiches, and tomato soup for dinner. He said, "What??!! :jawdrop: I thought you told me that we were going to have delicious, barbecued spare ribs??!! " :bawling: (He was right; I did say that . . .). "Um . . . slight change in plans . . . " :hilarious:

Yep, I've had and made ribs of all kinds so many different ways over the years that are so good, but, by far and away the best will always be any kind of slow smoked ones...! :hungry: :)

95 hear today with the promise of 97 tomorrow. No real rain in sight, but, they are expecting it to hit 100 by Tuesday and stay hot over the next two weeks. I love it. My first year here in NC, about this time of year. We were at anywhere between 98 and 106. Over 100 for 9 days straight back then. We did get a lot of brown grass out of it, but, boy you could get the golf ball to roll for miles.

Yep, this summer, so far for us, is kinda' like last year, and nothin' like the summer of '13. By this time that year, we'd already had several days in the 100's and I can't even remember how many umpteen to follow and consecutive. The hottest day that year was 108. The record, set in either '00 or '01 (I can't remember :cyclops:) is 112.

No
why not PACK things while YOU WATCH? XD
I do that a lot, but we had it on in the family room and were all watching it. The old Toy Story 2 DVD, which we got when it was released, went bad. We discovered it, and then came the meltdown when he couldn't watch it. I ordered a new copy, and it came yesterday, and he watched it today, and somehow, we all ended up watching it.

Most of my packing will get done tomorrow evening and Monday, seeing as how I just got in after leaving at 5 pm.

Since we're months away until fall arrives, what Disney Villain or Antagonist do you think would be a great meet and greet character? I'm going for past Disney antagonists that can be obscure for alot of people. Especially in the film that not many people have watched. Currently, I think Edgar from The Aristocats and Brom Bones from (Sleepy Hollow) would make interesting character interactions. Such as Edgar getting annoyed when ever he see's a guest with any Marie merchandise (Since he hated the cats and attempted to burn them alive after they discover their way back home. He previously tried taking them far away from their owner's home). I can already picture him and Cruella having a good conversation with each other and how much they hate cats and dogs and their reasons.
