@Gabe1 , I tried your cup of ammonia suggestion for the towels today. The bottle said to add it to hot water, so I did the towels in a hot water wash (it has a cold rinse cycle though). I always wash in cold, so I had to remember to turn on the hot water faucet to the machine. They did come out soft and fluffy, just like you said! :D

So once in a while, I'll use your method to de-cootify the towels, but most of the lime it's easier for me to just dump in some detergent (and a dryer sheet into the dryer). But it was an interesting experiment! ;)

I would love to go to Paris but spending a day at Disney while in Paris o_O

$135 dollars from Paris to Disney including a one day ticket seems steep. Though the hotels look amazing....most of the hotels and tickets are cheaper.

I think it would be fun to go to DLP!! :joyfull: However, I can tell you that if I was able to go to France at all, I'd definitely explore Paris and other places there first, but still try to see DLP over perhaps a quicker, 2-day part of my trip. (It's a moot point for me now though.)

So I did something idiotic today. I bought a package of spare ribs, and a bottle of barbecue sauce, and I figured I'd be able to put them on the barbecue grill (I have charcoal) and cook them for dinner. A little while ago, I thought I should look up on the internet about how long to cook them, as I've never cooked spare ribs before. Well . . . I've never seen so much confusing cooking information about anything before. Some recipes say to boil them at first; others say not to. Some tell you to slow cook them for 6 hours (too late to do that for dinner tonight), some say to cook them in the oven for a while before, and then grill them. Some say just to cook and/or broil them in the oven.

Hence, I need to figure out something tomorrow from all these convoluted directions, when I have more time. I just told hubby we're having grilled cheese sandwiches, and tomato soup for dinner. He said, "What??!! :jawdrop: I thought you told me that we were going to have delicious, barbecued spare ribs??!! " :bawling: (He was right; I did say that . . .). "Um . . . slight change in plans . . . " :hilarious:

So I didn't know it was going to rain today. o_O I watched the weather yesterday, I don't remember the weather guy talking about this at all. This really puts a damper on my plans...spending oodles of time in the hammock with the dog.

Oh my. Sympathy "like". :(

87 and clear here, right now... :cautious: ;) :)
95 hear today with the promise of 97 tomorrow. No real rain in sight, but, they are expecting it to hit 100 by Tuesday and stay hot over the next two weeks. I love it. My first year here in NC, about this time of year. We were at anywhere between 98 and 106. Over 100 for 9 days straight back then. We did get a lot of brown grass out of it, but, boy you could get the golf ball to roll for miles.
