So I did something idiotic today. I bought a package of spare ribs, and a bottle of barbecue sauce, and I figured I'd be able to put them on the barbecue grill (I have charcoal) and cook them for dinner. A little while ago, I thought I should look up on the internet about how long to cook them, as I've never cooked spare ribs before. Well . . . I've never seen so much confusing cooking information about anything before. Some recipes say to boil them at first; others say not to. Some tell you to slow cook them for 6 hours (too late to do that for dinner tonight), some say to cook them in the oven for a while before, and then grill them. Some say just to cook and/or broil them in the oven.

Hence, I need to figure out something tomorrow from all these convoluted directions, when I have more time. I just told hubby we're having grilled cheese sandwiches, and tomato soup for dinner. He said, "What??!! :jawdrop: I thought you told me that we were going to have delicious, barbecued spare ribs??!! " :bawling: (He was right; I did say that . . .). "Um . . . slight change in plans . . . " :hilarious:
I know your pain, I had the same questions.. never did ribs before.
But seems that for speed.. you have to boil them first.. and then cook them slowly in the charcoal with the BBQ sauce.

But I know that pros actually slowcook them for hours in very special smoker grills. o_O

I am
got my second session on friday.
still kinda painful.. still the most painful part was not my leg.. but the insane swarm of mosquitos. It was raining very lightly. So the building where all the gym, water systems were.. was full of them D:

It also was my brother's bday. So I invited him to eat to a restaurant earlier.

plus have the resident cat pictures!

Who else is getting tired of "Dream Along With Mickey" being played at the Magic Kingdom? It's been there for almost 9 years at this point. I hope that if Walt Disney World celebrates it's 50th Anniversary in 2021. They might make a new show along with a new nighttime parade and daytime parade.
It depends.. how many times have you been there? me? only twice... and only seen the show.. a max of 4 times.. one of them incomplete.
but then, I seen the last 2 for engineering purposes (wondering how the hell these moving heads work)

Well my husband went to check it out and he fell in love with their meat. (Well, that just sounded weird).

We've been on a very low carb/Ketosis diet and our groceries consist of meat, seafood, veggies and some fruits. They have better quality so we decided to try it for 1 year. Because he's military we get a TON of extra coupons that may come in handy this year.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
As someone with experience online... That.. definitively.. sounded.. ahem.. dirty.

I do that a lot, but we had it on in the family room and were all watching it. The old Toy Story 2 DVD, which we got when it was released, went bad. We discovered it, and then came the meltdown when he couldn't watch it. I ordered a new copy, and it came yesterday, and he watched it today, and somehow, we all ended up watching it.

Most of my packing will get done tomorrow evening and Monday, seeing as how I just got in after leaving at 5 pm.
I do not rely on dvds nowadays. I found the quality of them have been downhill.
they die way too easily now. Id say they are using cheap materials as people are moving towards netflix and digital or bluray.
I always download the movies to my media server after purchasing the disks.

We skipped it last time and we had 3 full MK days always something more important to do. Next trip I might make time to see it because by then it will be 5 years since we've seen it. There's always youtube LOL

I always boil mine first, then Hubby finishes them off on the barbecue.
Fall off the bone tender, and guaranteed to be cooked all the way through. Win, win.
My dh puts them in his smoker for HOURS! When he fires that bad boy up it goes for 16-18 hours depending on what he's rotating in and out. Butt, ribs, ham, sausage, brisket. It all depends what looks good and a sale never hurts

Peace and quiet today the men are off to my inlaws to perform yard work. My father I law is doing better bit by bit but he's not going to be able to do lawn work for what's looking kike the entire summer. My mother in law is happy she'll at least get the boys once a week at least and I get a day with nobody bothering me. Tomorrow starts a very screwy schedule no full days but every day is a different dismissal time:confused: and seeing the boys are going to be home more my food bill is going up, up, up and away!:arghh::bawling: Hope all of you are having a fantastic weekend.

95 hear today with the promise of 97 tomorrow. No real rain in sight, but, they are expecting it to hit 100 by Tuesday and stay hot over the next two weeks. I love it. My first year here in NC, about this time of year. We were at anywhere between 98 and 106. Over 100 for 9 days straight back then. We did get a lot of brown grass out of it, but, boy you could get the golf ball to roll for miles.

It's 63 out now and very pleasant. But then again, I don't play golf! :p

I'm sure she would agree with that statement, partially. She is pretty into exploring the back yard and gets a little bummed when she can't. I have a basic summer routine and she knows that hammock/outside time is around 2 pm, she starts getting really antsy around that time. :)

Hee hee . . . dogs like to keep to their "routine" :hilarious: Change really freaks them out.

Thanks to all for the great support. It's amazing how much more you really see, when looking for picture spots. love to all.

I am so happy that you had an excellent vacation. We all loved your pictures; they were GREAT!!! Two comments:

1. With the pictures you took yesterday, did you happen to rent out the park all by yourself? Again, unless you have some special software equipment that erases every other person from your pictures, I'm baffled as to how you got no one in your pictures yesterday!! I'm always battling crowds when I go there! :banghead:

2. Can't tell you how relieved I am that your trip came after mine, with my pathetic little pictures! :hilarious: You'd be a really hard act to follow!!
