That's what I thought. As an asthmatic, I've had to work with respiratory therapists before. I know you're working hard, feeling stressed, but some of my best experiences at the ER have been with respiratory therapists. After having to deal with arrogant ER doctors who usually have no idea what they're doing with asthma (usually, some have been great, but some...urgh), sometimes the best feeling is when someone, who is not arrogant and actually does know what they're talking about with asthma, comes in and tries to cheer up the patient. And the techs who work at my allergist office have also been great. I know you have difficult patients, probably difficult doctors and coworkers as well, not to mention frustrations at home, but we do really appreciate what you do.

I also have a lot of respect for healthcare workers. Not an easy job you all have. Really appreciate it.

I couldn't do it! I have pulled my DD, DS and DH each once at different times from ER rooms. Now mind you my kids were frequent fliers to ER rooms in their early childhood. I also pulled my DD out of an Alergist Office, a Pediatric Dentist and one GP office. When I pulled them out of the ER rooms I all three times got follow up calls the next day inquiring why. The Doc actually called me when I pulled my DS out of the ER and apologized for his arrogant behavior with my then 8 year old, he had fallen out of the top of 2 story tree at a friends house (mom saw he sail down and go thud from her kitchen window.) For what I pay them I refuse to accept bad behavior.

Well, cousin-in-law, who has been pregnant, was induced at 6 am this morning. As of two minutes ago, still no baby. Kid hasn't even been born yet and already is stubborn and has a mind of his own.

My water broke with my DD but labor never came so they induced me. I'm not a fan of the practice and said so at the time. She wound up in the NIC unti for two days because of it. My Sis wound up having a C Section after my niece went breech after they incuced, was not at the start of it. It tends to make it harsher labor and more stressful for the Mom and Baby IMO.

Thank you, yes as an asthmatic, I knew you were familiar with us. I do get a lot of positive feedback from patients and I do work well with the nurses. Some have become like family to me. I wish the stress I am talking about was from the work itself because knowing a patient might have a better outcome is a reward in itself.
Unfortunately, the stress is due to constant meetings and reshuffling of staff that causes people to worry about their jobs. I think our manager wants us to be in constant upheaval so we won't focus on their lack of managerial abilities.

I know the hideous buildings are there, I just ignore them.

So agree, they don't match Y&B or the Boardwalk either let alone the World Showcase. I actually think they are very pretty but not on Disney property if you know what I mean. As a resort independent of WDW they would be beautiful.

I've stayed at them both and I really like their rooms however they are themed more convention than resort. The beds, oh the beds are they amazing, makes getting up in the morning difficult even with being at Disney.

2014 Most Dangerous Cities in America

1. Detroit
2. Oakland
3. Memphis
4. St. Louis
5. Cleveland

How the heck is Chicago not on that list? :jawdrop: My Sis lives in Cleveland, not surprised, very close to the women held in the basement for a decade. St Louis this year I get, Detroit well yeah, Oakland does surprise me.

True. I know they are there because I've seen them many times. It's that first photo that got me thinking that I've never seen it quite like that. Gorgeous pic, though.

I love seeing how they create the forced perspective. With the renovations to Main Street and the removal of the original Hub and trees years ago it changed what was imagineered what was imagineered in forced perspective.
Landscaping plays a big role in forced perspective and all around WDW Disney has removed so much. Weep.

(I don't receive child support for over 10 years)
In general these type of sentences make my blood boil.
Yes I know that people have different ideas about child support. I just thank God that he keeps me healthy so I can work. I don't take any financial support from anyone but I feel very fortunate that I have had the opportunities I have had so I don't have to. Our annual WDW trip came about because I have to work weekends and holidays so planning these trips gave us something to look forward to so that when I'm at work it is not so bad. I think you just helped me work through this: I will put up with the carp and just think of it financing our trip. Thank you.

Absolutely. I think of how much my patients pay for their healthcare so I try to do my ultimate best for them. I believe that any information I have to empower my patient I will give to them. And to help the family members through the process.

This has been a difficult pregnancy for my Cousin-in-law. They had a specific date set for the baby, which was today. She's already had two other kids. This has been her worst pregnancy. She's had to go to the chiropractor several times because of back pain. Last week, she started having contractions too early, so she went to the ER, but they didn't want her to have the baby just yet. She was going back and forth between C-section and inducing. Both girls were c-section, so she wanted to experience a natural birth. She's now saying two hours more, and if she hasn't progressed, she'll want a c-section. She was at 1 cm when she went in this morning. She is now at 3 cms. 11 hours later. Stubborn just like his father. We should have known

I don't think I have ever noticed that view before.

Probably because we are used to see each pavilion from up close.
looking in a upward angle and not straight to the horizon from the other side of the world showcase.
I actually wonder, if they could put fake tall trees to block the view.
But then, it will also look weird if these "trees" are as big as the faux Eiffel tower!

Agreed - but it is sometimes necessary.

I was induced the first time around, due to pre-eclamptic toxaemia and placental insufficiency. Baby didn't gain an once for the last three weeks, and my blood pressure was sky high.

Second time around, I had less than an hour of labour. Four minutes in delivery, three pushes ... a week in NICU.

Just the way things go some times.

At the airport :( but I still have two days to catch up.
Yesterday, we started at MK. Missed our first FP again - Peter Pan this time.

Used FP's for Winnie the Pooh, and then Little Mermaid on Stand-by.
Walked through Storybook Circus (still prefer Mickey and Minnie's houses, thanks) and then got on the train. I so love riding the train. We did a full circuit on the train, ending up back in SC.

Then we checked in 15 min early for Liberty Tree Tavern, and ended up waiting 45 mins. Grrrr ... I had 6 hours scheduled between lunch and dinner. Now, not so much. Oh well.

Tammy and I split the Colony Salad and the pot roast. Like last year, the kitchen kindly split these for us.

Hubby had the clam chowder to start, followed by the full serving of pot roast.
