Final day here, and we have 6 CS meals remaining, and 24 Snacks!

I never did get my Dole Whip float. The two times we were in the area with room in our bellies, it was like 40 degrees and my teeth were chattering.
The other half dozen times, we had either just finished eating, or were on our way out to a TS meal.
Seemed silly (at the time - not so much now) to have a Dole Whip before Yachtsman or Narcoossee's.

Too bad you can't bring a Citrus Swirl home. Those are my Dole Whips.

It's not all that obviously visible from Epcot. I, personally have never noticed it in all these years. There was a picture posted on this board a short while ago which looks like it is sitting just behind Canada. That, I'm sure was done with a telescopic lens because it is no where near that visible to the naked eye.

Don't even know how to respond to that post Sir other than we all have very different visual strengths and weaknesses.

As Disney removes more and more trees in the World Showcase it is becoming more and more visible.

My DHs nephew just signed to go to her University this evening. I have a hard time wrapping my brain around athletes and signing trumping admission policies. This year the University stopped all early admissions. Yet they do early admissions for athletes on a 5 year plan. I grasp college sports are money grabs for Big 10 schools but it is humorous to end a policy and say just kidding when it comes to athletes.

Rant over

Welcome to professional college sports. :greedy: ;)

I'm not really good at the height thing anymore either, it never use to bother me and it doesn't even have to be a great height yet I can do Sears/Willis Tower likely cause I've done it since I was a kid. What made me say to oneself was the chairlift at Blizzard Beach, I did not like that and had been fine before and I've gone up freak'n mountains in Colorado with zero stress. I have no explanation for me.

So far, heights still don't bug me. I did a bit of backpacking in the mountains, rock climbing, and rappelling back in the day. Tall buildings, coasters, water slides, etc., I can still do just fine.
So far...

@donaldtoo , how are all your dogs getting along at home? I'm sure they get themselves into mischief, just like Jack and Walter. (I know you must have some funny stories to share with us!) :p

Getting along just fine, thanks! :)

Good grief, where do I start...?! Too many to keep up with...
I'll just share one quick one regarding Belle, from the other night.
We made tacos, and everyone else ate, as I said I'd grab some in a bit.
Well, Belly Crazy Cakes has grown a bit. As I walked into the kitchen to load up on my tacos, there was the pan the meat had been in from the stove, now on the kitchen floor, with not a single spec left. Let's just say that she almost became my taco meat for the night...! ;)
But, as you can imagine, she paid for it later and spent a good portion of the rest of the evening out back... :in pain: :D ;) :)

Some years when I come to Disney, there are a lot of things I'd like to buy, but funds are tight.
Other years, I have the $$, but nothing catches my fancy.
This year however, has been the perfect storm, a confluence of cash and desire.

Now, I just have to figure out how to get $2500 worth of stuff home! Thankfully, $600 + of it is jewelery/Pandora charms.
And, we still have 24 snack credits worth of carp to pick up tomorrow.

I doubt any of you feel sorry for me.
I feel you on the remaining credits. In my case.. it was table dinner points.
Since we purchased all the "dinner shows". I ended with tons of points accumulated.
I think I ended with 14 dinner points remaining (auch)
All I saved on using my conglomerator's price discount (20% on top of the normal dinning discount) was gone with these points expiring :(
but then, I will be smarter next trip!.

Yup, the way I figure it, you're not going to be able to figure out who I am unless you know me irl. In that case, four pieces of information is enough: Missy, full name Marisa, Baltimore, and Disney fan, are enough to figure it out. But if you don't know me irl, it would be pretty hard to track me down. And even so, Linked In and Facebook are pretty much the two places where I can be found in a non anonymous form, along with some school-related stuff. My Facebook profile is tightly locked, as is Linked In, not that there's much interesting stuff on there other than work history. And even if anyone here tried to track me down, they would have WAY too much time on their hands, and they wouldn't find much.
Or we could just contact the NSA. I heard that they even know all our underwear colors ;)

Ironing is something I rarely attempt and when I do it generally is a Fail. Big fan of taking that stuff to the cleaners and I'm pretty careful in what I buy that most won't have to go to the cleaners. I'll pay the $1.29 to have the shirts pressed.
I feel you! I usually use the dryer trick.
dry in your machine, very hot.. then lay flat pressed on your bed, then immediately fold.. not need to iron!

It's weird how it changes for the worse. I really didn't like heights all my life, but nothing that I couldn't handle with some deep breathing. Now, I just freeze. I completely get the phrase "paralyzed by fear". And it's even worse if it involves DS - for instance, we were on a look out in Pittsburgh and even though DH was far from the edge, when he put DS on his shoulders I FREAKED. I mean completely lost it. He looked at me like I was nuts, which in that moment I was.

Also - interestingly enough, I think it's genetic. And I don't think it's a learned behavior (regardless of the story above, I'll explain). My dad is extremely afraid of heights, and I didn't live with him or do anything at a young age with him where I would have learned to be afraid.

Prior to my total freak out in Pittsburgh, DS (at age 2-3) would freeze at the tops of slides and shake all over. He wouldn't even attempt to go into the indoor playgrounds because typically you need to climb up a jungle gym type slide. He would watch the other kids and be content playing with his feel firmly on the ground. The only way he got to the top of a slide is if he was too caught up in the moment, followed another child up, then he would realize where he was and I would have to go up and get him. Each time I let him try to see if he would be ok.

Now, he's much better with playground equipment, but he still doesn't like high stuff. Took us forever to get him on Splash, but he likes "fast" so he tried it, and loves it. He does get really nervous at the top, but who doesn't?
probably genetic writing from our ancestors.
high buildings on our current age = big canyon falls in our ancestor's eyes.

I've yet to wrap my brain around my own thing with heights. Not doing well with the chair lift at Blizzard however I didn't have an issue with sliding down Summit Plummet. Go figure.
Perhaps its because you are not "standing" or touching "ground" while in the chairs? you're pretty much touching the "ground" when sliding down.
